One thing to be weary of:

Be careful how much "value" you put in a ship. Many industrial ships can be fit with cargo expanders that give them large cargo holds, but they are fairly easy to destroy. If the value of your cargo is worth enough, and someone discovers such a thing, they might blow up your ship (in highsec) and have a "friend" steal the loot from your wreck.

You can ALWAYS be surprise attacked in highsec. The person that illegally attacks you there will have their ship destroyed by concord, but concord (like the police) won't instantly arrive, leaving a surprise attacker up to 20 seconds to destroy your ship. This is a common means for the unscrupulous to make isk, and is known as suicide ganking (because the ship that illegally attacks you is blown up by concord, but their friend can still steal your loot leaving you at total major loss).

*edit* I suspect as a very young player you don't have enough assets to be randomly ganked. Then again, if you buy a plex, you might. A typical industrial ship may be suicide ganked if it's hauling 50-100m isk in potential loot.
