Misread the sentence on MTU, but yeah, that change was definitely good for overall gameplay, and the fact that your whining about it says more about you than anyone who posted to the forums advocating for change.

And nobody in their right mind has any complaints about the EHP buff to barges.


Anyone arguing for the MTU change was merely arguing to hold onto their golden goose of AFK missioning with drones set to aggressive. No one who played the game correctly in the first place ever died to the MTU aggro "exploit".

And yes, actually, plenty of people had and continue to have a problem with them basically adding a zero to the end of the numbers for EHP of barges. Between that and the Ore Hold introduction, it encourages AFK gameplay, which is a bad thing. It doesn't keep people interested in the game, it specifically encourages them to NOT play the game. And I believe there was either a dev post or a CSM post in regards to the statement being made that CCP believes that the barge buff was too much.

You can still do it. The changes made a few months(?) ago were to the aggression mechanics with drones auto-agressing someone who shot your MTU.

Blackhole Kelly was spewing vitriol in Local about "carebear pirates" or some such nonsense. We're all entitled to our [informed] opinions as citizens of New Eden. When prompted for clarification Mr. Kelly instead resorted to insults and lulz ... I do believe a very rude James315 .gif was also linked in chat followed by the usual filth. While the Kill-It-Forward program is in no way a .CODE affiliate I did feel the need to clarify some things for Mr. Kelly ... after all, what is damnation without a chance at redemption?

In keeping with the spirit of this thread, and in pursuit of a better High Sec, I 2v1'ed a duo of unsuspecting bystanders with an unhealthy attachment to their MTU ...

I don't understand what I'm reading. Are carebears shooting carebears because some carebears admit that highsec needs a nerf? Shouldn't Y'all be busy rebelling against the new order or something?

A member of a well known wardec corp is dedicating his destruction of carebears to those carebears who post on the forums to advocate for taking away player freedom and adding more safety.

I am peaceful type of fellow, but I do enjoy the danger present in whatever security of space. That 'risk' helps keep it fresh. It encourages spatial awareness, situational awareness, and common sense.

Although, lets be completely honest. CCP definitely loves the gankers/pvp'rs over those of us who pursue more peaceful lives. This "Heresy" thing is a bit overly-dramatic to be honest.

To be honest, it doesn't bother me when an opponent tries to use overwhelming force against me -- it would make no sense to let your opponent have an advantage that he/she has not earned.

CCP used to hold HTFU as their core, but for people who have been watching for years now it's clear a pogrom of nerfdom is being pursued in a death of 1,000 cuts, in pursuit of moar subscriptions.

Truly, the original axiom of HTFU that made EvE great in the first place, is fast becoming just a marketing slogan in many eyes, when we see things like CCP recoiling at fools getting their feelings hurt...

Carebears aren't the issue. I love carebears, whenever I need to shoot someone in the face, they provide my ships to do so...

At issue are petition-bears and wailing forum-bears who drive these nerfs, with their incessant nattering for an ever-safer hisec that is heretical to HTFU.

They must be purified by fire, or shown the error of their ways by making them face the consequences of their heresies.

...Jamwara last night performed a sanctioned flagellation of an innocent carebears 1b ISK Golum, followed by a ritual sacrifice of his pod, as he clawed at the gates of the Oursu III station undock pleading entry...

(Jamwara wishes to thank the station management for denying said carebear entry during this time of conflict).
