Removal of ETC impact on PLEX market

How will CCP's switching from ETCs to PLEX impact the PLEX market? I'm guessing that it will result in an increase in PLEX hitting the market and driving prices down somewhat, however, I'm not really sure how large the ETC market is.

I didn't see this anywhere else, so I thought I'd throw it out there for discussion.

Many people sold ETCs who would now have to sell PLEX instead, increasing supply. On the other hand, all the buyers would have to buy PLEX instead of ETCs, increasing demand. So, no effect on the speculation bubble.

Demand increase due to panic. Supply decrease due to lack of comprehension.

Thanks for the feedback. I was actually thinking of this just from a theory point of view, since I don't invest in PLEX, I don't have a horse in this race.

As I said, I don't have much of an idea of how much ETCs are purchased/sold so I wasn't sure if this would add new supply or demand to PLEX market, but I guess an eventual no difference makes sense.

You can plot ETC sales by looking at the forum and extrapolating. I've never seen an ingame sale, though I believe there's an account management tool which does it all automatically, so I don't think you can account for that volume.
