I have too many alts to care which gender each one is. As long as I can fly with them, that's all that matters.

I don't have an female characters. I've thought of rolling one, but I'm always afraid a female toon would sell for less isk in Character Bazaar. Yes, that's how pathetically cheap I am. And yes, that's how much I relax and just enjoy playing EVE as a so-called "game."

I like having a pretty face to look at while playing. RL guy here though.

I think psychologically speaking, avatars are a reflection of:

1. what we want/desire to have.

or

2. what we want/desire to become.

Or, the closest I can get to me IRL... They need a lot more hairstyles/facial hair styles and more ways to modify the body such as height, shoulders and body mass distribution.

They sell for significantly more actually.

I currently have 4 characters, having just recently sold one on the character bazaar.

This one is not only my main in terms of game time, but also the toon that is closest to my RL public personality and same gender.

The other 3 characters are all female, though I bought 2 of them for specific purposes.

Edit: I have 1 other male character that is only a forum alt. He only makes an appearance whenever his name is discussed in a thread though.

I've found that female corpses tend to go for slightly more ISK than male ones. A female corpse will typically fetch anywhere up to 1.5m (depending on location), a male one will rarely go above 1m. This is due to EVE being a sausage-fest, and more players choosing to create male chars.

I have 2 containers which I use to store my corpses, one for male, one for female (got to keep those crazy lovebirds seperated!) and my male container has roughly twice the corpses of the female one due to this.

I hope that more people will choose to create female chars in the future, there's nothing wrong with it, and it's fun to make hot-looking women in video games.

My character has small boobies. Apparently this means I am a legit female. Now accepting ISK donations...

My character is not a reflection of myself. It's just a figurine I put on a board to play the game with. Age, race, gender, occupation, personality, none of these have any meaning on gauging my real self.

Amarr as a race sounded very arrogant, elitist and generally like complete d**ks, which is why I chose them Twisted

I guess the character is derived from a small part of me, but I doubt you'll ever be able to create someone/something on here that truly represents you.

On a side note, I often wonder what the ratio of males to females is on here... 95% male? Maybe we need to run a demographic study... Would be interesting to see who, what, why and where Smile

This is one of those "all answers are right" questions and depends on the person playing the game.

Personally, I have always played female characters. I've always enjoyed the thought of strong female leads. Nakami is the same name I give all my female characters in games that give you the choice of gender and name. She is an extension of my feminine self.

At one point in my life I had considered doing drag (although I never actually did) and Nakami Saans was going to be my drag name. I chose Nakami because it is Japanese for "Inner Beauty" and Saans was going to come from my drag mother. The name has just stuck over the years. Most of my usernames for gaming purposes is Saans Shadow. For all intents and purposes, Nakami Saans is a special part of me that I will always cherish.

I think it's healthy to be able to play out a part of your personality that you may otherwise ignore in the real world. I'll never be ashamed of being Nakami. I was actually thinking back on my time in a nullsec corp the other day and kind of missed being called Nakami over comms Smile

But like I said, all answers are correct, in my opinion, on this matter.

People: "You shouldn't burn bridges." Me: "I don't, I bomb them from orbit."

I've seen it come up so many times elsewhere that I almost don't notice it any more.
Occasionally I get a surprise. It's just the internet.
