Do standings reduce broker fees and taxes?

On one of my alts I have maxxed out trading skills and high standings and I see this:
Base Broker Fee: 0.75% of order value
Transaction Tax: 0.5% of sales value

On a new character those are both 1%. These numbers just seem to show the effect of the skills without any modifications for standings. Is this just a display error or do faction and corp standings no longer matter?

That is Base Broker Fee. Actual broker fee, modified by corporation and faction standings, is shown when you are making buy/sell order. Nice graph here: EVE Market Order Broker Fees

Transaction tax is not modified by standings, so 0.5 is best you can get.

Of course they'll only list the base, unmodified broker fee there, since the actual one is different based on station.
How else exactly would you expect them to display the broker fees in a compact manner anyway ?
With a huge list of actual broker fees depending on station NPC owner ?
That's not exactly compact Blink

I suppose they could add a new line "for current station", but that is of limited use, since you don't necessarily have to place an order in the current station (if you're even in a station at the moment), and you do get the exact broker fee listed every time you try to place an order (with the fee for the place you did select), so it would be at best redundant.

The formula there is not quite right. For me (no corp standing, faction standing 0.06, broker relations 4) placing a sell order priced at 1bn isk the formula says the broker fee is 7,953,555.85 isk (as calculated by LibreOffice). The actual figure (as shown in game) is 7,953,458.60 isk. For my standings it seems to be correct to within 3 significant figures, though.

That difference is most likely because your faction standing is not 0.06. The info you are shown in-game is truncated but the full figure is used for calculations.

For full precision in the results from the formula, you have to know your standings with full precision.

If you are using your standings as displayed in game to two decimal places, note that that your actual standings (to higher precision) are unlikely to be exactly that figure.

E.g., for standings of 1.00, your true standings would be in the range 0.99500.. to 1.00499.., and they would be rounded in game to 1.00.

(Actually, I forget off-hand if the display of standings in game is rounded or truncated, but either way, there typically will be a slight difference between your true standings and figures shown to two decimal digits.)

Beware when you modify an order, as then the standings have no effect on the broker fee and the base broker fee is always used. Standings apply only when you create an order.

They told me to mine... and I started to mine, the market ;)

This is incorrect. Both standings and skills are applied on modification.

The exclusion of standings from the calculation in the Modify Order dialog box is a display bug only. I encourage you to test this for yourself.

Ahhh, that makes sense. Thank you!

(totally OT: Ilinea, where did you get that coat? I've seen one like it on the market but never in the NeX...)
