7 weeks in the crucible is impressive, what will 6 months bring?

Our latest expansion comes on the heels of 7 weeks of furious work by the dev team with a lot of love from some WOD personnel. To be quite honest im beside myself with what they managed to pull off in such a short span. Much can be said of this but I prefer to be positive about it.

What good things and changes can you see as a player that may come from a full 6 month dev cycle dedicated to the basic tenants of EVE?

The advantage of a bad memory is that one can enjoy the same good things for the first time several times.

One will rarely err if extreme actions be ascribed to vanity, ordinary actions to habit, and mean actions to fear.

A working modular POS, improved corporation management tools, and a FW system that works.

I'm sure they can do much more, but I can't really think of anything else...

Crucible is more than I would have dared hope for given the small timeframe, but CCP finally DELIVERED.

Do I dare get my hopes up for 6 months of dev resources committed to the same? Not yet, but I'm cautiously optimistic.

Dust514. They did their crowd pleasing, back to not delivering content

I'm wondering how many null alliances will invade lowsec with the intent of controlling empire PI rather than just hotdropping everyone they see.

I'm looking forward to zero downtime, player-manufacturable clothing/vanity items, planet-based shield generators to protect orbital infrastructure, the ability to hire Dust Bunnies to blow stuff up planet side so you can blow up customs offices in orbit, and the ability to walk into a shared space onboard stations.

This.

CCP Soundwave: "Apocrypha was a large expansion that took the resources of a large percentage of the company, and it turned out to be a difficult thing to handle - we don't expect to be doing anything on that scale again. "

CCP Manifest: "Honestly, I wouldn’t say we ever went “wrong”."

They did a lot in 7 weeks. But it was fueled by fear for their livelihoods. The underlying contempt for their customers is still there, the lessons weren't learned, and I'll be stunned if they deliver a decent expansion this summer.

I wonder... If this was what they did in 6 months, then what were they planning on releasing for the winter expansion?
