Actually I have found Jump Depots for around 2.5 million isk.
They were 1.4 million in Jita, but you suggested using 3-4 of them. (3.5 * 1.4 = 4.9)

Hmm, since my previous post, someone bought all the mobile micro jump units under 2 millions in Jita. I've no idea whether that had anything to do with your post, but in case it is: congratulation on driving up the price, I didn't though anyone would bite.

I also never fit scrams. Most of my targets are so afk they wouldn't warp off anyways, so I don't need one.

This, but unironically. ECCM to ward off faction police/white knights, Sebo to go for the pod.

I just fly skiffs. It doesn't make you immune to ganks (that would just be stupid), but it comes pretty close (closer than even I think is fair). Skiffs are also pretty quick so if people are trying to bump you just orbit your rock, it'll at least make their life really difficult. If they are really dedicated to bumping I have an AB skiff fit that really difficult to bump (I know cause I tried).

There are very easy ways of resisting gankers and bumpers, but I really don't think your proposed method is one of them.

Honestly if your looking to avoid getting suicide ganked in high sec the best way to do it is to use caution, flag known Gankers as red, watch D-scan, and over tank your mining ships. I'll admit it I have an alt that suicide ganks in high sec sometimes for fun when I'm bored. But if your vigilant, careful, and not AFK you should be fine simple as that

Not all pilots have a corporation to protect them from high sector Suicides. One way for the miner to protect theirself is too employ a Micro Warp Jump Depot along the asteroid belt that they will be mining in entirely.

If a ganker appears and you are close enough to the depot simply activate it and warp out.

In order for the ganker to keep you from warping they are going to have to fit warp scramblers which could hinder their DPS capability.

Give it a try and let us know what happens.

CODE doesn't just gank barges and not everyone is knowledgeable about CODE either so not all mining pilots will not know that CODE is even near them until the gank is complete.

CODE pilots operate T2 fitted Cats. T1 fitted Cats don't do enough damage to the barge before Concord arrives.

To use the Jump Drive Depot first pick a central location within the asteroid belt that you are mining in. Place a Micro Jump Depot at the warp in point within the belt itself. Next place two or three to either side of the central depot at the 6,000 m minimal range placement.

With four jump depot's you should have an approx. warp range of 24 km. Depending on which type of mining ship you use will determine the overall mining range. If you are using a Retriever you will therefore have 15 km of mining range that will allow you to sit at any Jump Depot and mine the ore that you need without having move. Once an area has been mined out simply move to the next depot and mine.

When using the Jump Depot align your ship in the direction that you want to emergency jump towards. You can actually create warp waypoints by first using a Jump Depot to warp you to a specific direction drop another depot and then the warp direction warp out to a new location and drop another depot and so on until you create your Waypoint Warp Tunnel in the system you are in.

Make certain to bookmark each location that you warp to otherwise the system wont work.

Although this may seem an expensive process it should give you enough time to warp out within 12 seconds after CODE contact to ensure your ship survives.

Despite being given expert adivce from people that gank miners all the time & having admitted that you haven't even tried this, you're still convinced that it will work.

I fit a scram on my Catalyst. With my skills, I can fit a full wrack of T2 Neutrons, Scram, three T2 Magstabs and 2 hybrid rigs.

If you want to avoid ganks... simply put mine in a Procurer. Because of what a Skiff costs, it's actually cost-effective for a group of T1 fit Catalysts to gank. The only deterrent to ganking Skiffs is that it requires an organized fleet, at which point you're better off ganking a freighter or an Orca.

Also, there's a trick which involves an Orca, but it requires you to be at your keyboard and paying attention, so I won't even bother to tell you about it since we know being at the keyboard and paying attention is unacceptable for HighSec miners.
