Can someone provide me with a viable, perhaps even cookie cutter, Vigilant setup? I recently acquired one semi by accident, and prior to owning it I had never planned on using it. Now that I have it, there's not much reason to sell it though, and I'm capable of fielding all the necessary equipment to fly it. So why not?

I have been testing fits with Neutron Blaster II's, but I've also been wondering if Railguns are the way to go as it has a range bonus and damage bonus?

My neutron fit is as follows:

5x Neutron II's

10mn MWD II
Warp Disruptor II
Fed Navy Webifier
Fed Navy Webifier (possibly switch for Small Cap Booster II w/Navy 400's?)

DCU II
2x EANM II
2x Mag Stab II
1600mm Tungsten Plate

3x Trimark

Is this a normal fit? Or should I active tank/nano/rail fit it somehow?

This used to be pretty standard neutron fit. However the vigilant is losing some of its PG in the next expansion so you will not be able to fit T2 MWD + 1600mm plate + neutrons.

Unfortunately I am unable to provide any reasonable fit right now.

EDIT: typos

Vigilant is losing some PG but gaining speed and lock range. Interesting changes :)

Step 1.. put three webs and some good resists on it
Step 2.. get an Archon
Step 3.. get blap Dread
Step 4.. laugh

That being said the Vigilant makes an excelent heavy tackle boat for gangs..

Use the fit you suggested and lose it before the patch, then try something new and fun once it changes.... could be fun hull tanking it after hull rigs are introduced.

Looks like a pretty standard setup. Check this one out, I really wanna fit this out in game but am not specced for medium rails at the moment and haven't really been playing much lately. I so badly wanna try this though

Damage Control II
Medium Ancillary Armor Repairer
Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II
Centii C-Type Adaptive Nano Plating
Magnetic Field Stabilizer II
Magnetic Field Stabilizer II

Micro Warp Drive
Warp Disruptor
Federation Navy Stasis Webifier
Medium Electrochemical Capacitor Booster I, Navy Cap Booster 800

250mm Railgun II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge M
250mm Railgun II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge M
250mm Railgun II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge M
250mm Railgun II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge M
250mm Railgun II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge M

Medium Auxiliary Nano Pump I
Medium Polycarbon Engine Housing I
Medium Polycarbon Engine Housing I

Warrior II x5

Setup does 787 overheated DPS
Goes 2084 MS
234 EFT "tank", 299 overloaded.
18km optimal, 23 km falloff.

Was playing with shield tanked Vigis but I feel like it can't get a good enough shield tank going. This setup has a decent tank, great speed and huge damage and range.

Holy Satanic Christ! This is a Goddamn Signature!

hmm... maybe use same fit but replace 1600 for 800? not spectacular, but not bad either.

If you're not running rails and with a CB, you're doing something very wrong.
Also, you don't need much pimp on a vigilant, get a navy web and you're settled.

[Vigilant, rails]

Fourier Transform Tracking Program
Magnetic Field Stabilizer II
Magnetic Field Stabilizer II
Internal Force Field Array I
Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II
Medium Ancillary Armor Repairer

Experimental 10MN Microwarpdrive I
Warp Disruptor II
Federation Navy Stasis Webifier
Medium Electrochemical Capacitor Booster I

250mm Railgun II, Federation Navy Antimatter Charge M
250mm Railgun II, Federation Navy Antimatter Charge M
250mm Railgun II, Federation Navy Antimatter Charge M
250mm Railgun II, Federation Navy Antimatter Charge M
250mm Railgun II, Federation Navy Antimatter Charge M

Medium Polycarbon Engine Housing I
Medium Hybrid Metastasis Adjuster I
Medium Hybrid Metastasis Adjuster II

This already got all the pimp you need. The rest is mainly throwing money out of the window.
