Yes, saw them at first and thought hmm pretty cool, but overview ones telling me its a station....no really?
Then I tried a relic site, lost most of the dam cans cause of the big black boxes!!
Please, just a disable button for us to turn them off when we get past a month old toon eh?

Yep, it's FEATURES GONE WILD in here.

What I'd like to know is whether the person who decides what new stuff to put in the game has an office fling with half the staff on the new features team, and simply can't say no to anything for fear of losing his parking privileges? P

CCP, there are off buttons for ship explosions, missile effects, turret effects, etc. "Immersion" does not seem to be harmed by those. So, please give us a persisting off button for the jump gate and autoscan visuals.

+1 to the OP's point. The brackets are awful, mainly because they stop you targeting stuff behind them, and also because the information contained within is mainly useless.

I do agree that some/most of the tool tips were not very useful for experienced players but please we need the old scatter can tips for data and relic sites, as now you can't see whats in a can without clicking it and when you do, you collect it.

The tooltips are a great update, CCP. +1

While you're working on the next patch, be sure to include the option to increase the size of these popups and the time it takes for them to fade out.

After that, remove the redundant option to delay the appearance of the new radial menu, and make it three times larger so the information is made more apparent and makes Eve more accessible to those of us unfortunate enough to have to use phones with one-inch buttons and read books with size 16 fonts.

Thanks.

Also, I think the popups could use some !!!CASH FOR GOLD!!! adverts in big flashing hot pink comic sans, to improve the user UI experience.

Hint, hint: popups are annoying and unacceptable. This isn't 1995.

I'm gonna have to agree on this that i haven't noticed any changes either till a corpie was complaining about them in Alliance chat.Dunno if that's because i don't do pve and target/pvp using the overview tab alone .

There are CCP devs that actually play the game reviewing and play-testing design changes like this before release, right? Right?

What? I still have those dreaded tooltips in space. I can't even select my celestial of choice to run away from the smart bombing proteus trying to pod me.

Definitely agree that these need some work. An overview type filter system would be great to select which ( if any) tooltips you would want.

That's .. ridiculous! I haven't seen every case yet,
but why does it try to add information when this information is already presented?

Why the redundancy?
Why are people being treated as if they were idiots?

Wtf is this crap ??

I'm not happy. :(
I feel insulted. ):

More dumbing down to appeal to 12 year olds. It stinks of EA games.

And now I will not be logging in until this "feature" is removed. Yes, it's really that bad.

While I recognize that someone somewhere probably worked hard on this, it is simply awful, and it needs to be disabled for the time being, ultimately made to be 100% optional.

I too will join you in not logging in. Ill content myself with chatting to my eve friends on ts.

I spotted them when they appeared but they weren't a problem until last night; I live in wormhole land and was out buying fuel and a new ship as we had a good highsec connection.

It obviously varies depending on the way people use the system but for me a tooltip popped up over the market search box every time I started to type the item I was looking for. It completely obscured the box and I had to keep moving the cursor away to verify what I had typed.

I like to join in on the whinge of the day like any proper Eve player but this one really can cause major annoyances under some circumstances.

Maybe you gents should try logging in again.

The recent updates Improved it a lot. Clear your bloody caches and revel in the fact that things are better again.
