Steal mission objectives every chance you get!! Big smile

I sometimes try to sell them back, but mostly just give them back for free if they ask nicely. Sadly, the majority of them just warp off without a word, or go straight to petitioning for harassment, rather than interact with another player in a civil manner.

Who put the goat in there?

How many would you say need to complain before they change the game for you?

Well, people don't usually go around stealing other peoples required mission items, but it does happen. You would think they would just remove that ability rather than have to trouble their GMs with having to reset missions for so many players.

CCP must figure it will cost them more money than they are losing by choosing not to police scamming. Maybe they are right, but it certainly makes their game ugly.

Yeah, but how many people are you going to need to convince to complain about it before you think they will change the game to fit your point of view rather than the clear majority that have posted here today?

source that scamming costs ccp money. otherwise we'll have to declare that you're full of ****.

also, being able to scam in eve is something other games don't have and that uniqueness makes eve very attractive.

You might think that is part of the game, but its not. It is simply being an a-hole because you can. As with everything, it is only a matter of time before this dumb mechanic gets changed.

Since you are obviously going to quit, over how everyone is a griefer, scammer, and all around sociopath, can I have your stuff, and from your main too?

If you think the game is ugly, why do you stay? 11 years and CCP has allowed (hell, encouraged) scamming, it's never going to change.\

I just don't get people like you. You hate things enough to post over and over again (from behind the cover of an npc alt) but you somehow don't hate those things enough to go play a game you actually like (with a community you'd actually like)? That's insane.

tl;dr

I'm full of hope and I may have chosen the wrong game to attempt to share my love and care for the utopian world which I know exists. Also, I'm bad and have not been prudent when accepting contracts... It's my own fault but I blame you evil-Eve!

It likely costs them money because people hear about that crap like that and don't even want to give EVE a chance besides being an overall disgusting thing to see in chat constantly. What kind of game company is so lazy that they don't even police scamming in their game?

Is scamming and sociopathic behavior supposed to be part of the appeal? Lol

See my OP about how this game attracts degenerates.

When I heard about what happened, I thought, " That sounds exactly like what players from EvE would do!"

But then again, how many other games have such a large congregation of their playerbase all in one spot? If you said Blizzcon, fair enough....of all those people who show for that, how many have intimate knowledge of each other? It's hard to know the truly deranged among any one group of people when everyone is a stranger. You need motive and passion. There are people everywhere who will fail to separate fantasy from reality, there are people everywhere, in every game, who will take things a step too far.

From the outside looking in, it seems like we're all a bunch of blowhards but if you hop on TS and talk to people, they're no different from players in any other game. If you actually took the time to talk to people instead of getting butthurt over being taken advantage of, you might learn your tormentors are actually nice people. When you show your asterik everytime you screw up and become a victim, people tend to reflect and amplify that attitude.

You make a valid point, good Sir or Madam.

Priestess Lin: ANY MOMENT NOW!!!

*Another 11 years pass*

Priestess Lin: Yep, the year 2036 is the year CCP changes this dumb mechanic.

Bonus: we figured out who you are, you're the guy who got his COSMOS item stolen, made 3 threads about it that ISD made go bye-bye and are still on about it. I suggest medication.

actions speak louder than words and people can be very different than they appear on voice chat.

quite a few serial killers and rapists are known for being pleasant to talk to.

I have one more quick question, which I imagine will go unanswered as usual as the interesting ones are always avoided...

But what qualifies the OP to be the ajudicator of moral virtue?

Judge not lest ye be judged, non?

fun fact: when the first corp theft happened after a short while player numbers were up not down despite people stamping feet and threatening to quit. underhand activities in eve are good for the game's overall health, the game markets itself on that stuff.

you haven't got a clue what you're talking about.

CCP disagree, to the extent that the official wiki covers it as a profession. Source : https://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Ninja_Looting#As_a_Profession

On scams CCP have this to say
Quote:
Scams

A scam is what happens when someone takes advantage of your misplaced trust, temporary confusion or ignorance of game rules, and robs you via legal in-game means. When this occurs, there is nothing the Support Team can do for you. Although low and despicable, scams do not violate any game mechanics and can not be compensated for by the GMs, nor can the scammers generally be punished for their actions.
Source : http://community.eveonline.com/support/knowledge-base/article.aspx?articleId=27

TL;DR what you're complaining about is totally legit as far as CCP are concerned, don't like it? Tough.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.
