EVE Launcher patches up to incompatible version

When I start the game using the Launcher, it downloads and installs a 20MB patch which renders the Crucible client incompatible with the server.

I may have brought this upon myself by copying the launcher from Singularity to get the Crucible patch to download faster (EVE download was 60kBps, Launcher download was 600kBps).

Any suggestions on how to repair this, which don't involve reinstalling the client from scratch? Cry
