I'd say an opinion where Diana Kim represents Caldari is a bit like saying Dame Death represents Minmatar or that Nauplius fellow represents Amarr.

And all of them are occasionally trotted out as examples of why Faction X is terrible and Faction Y is awesome. It's largely just IGS bluster easily disregarded, obviously, but entirely disregarding those who take this utter tripe to heart would be neglectful. Especially given the sheer intellectual dishonesty displayed by several "big" IGS personalities who nonetheless rack up enough dirtsider fan-fiction to fill entire warehouses.

Idiots can still pull triggers... or in our cases, take their ships to war.

Unfortunately, also idiots are allowed to enter capsuleer program and disregard loyalty to the State.
You know, it is quite tiresome to answer to most of idiocies capsuleers write, because the State hurted them somehow (I bet they were doing their job terribly and were kicked out for incompetence... wasn't it your story? or it was something else?) and they could only just attack loyal citizens for their loyalties.

The IGS is the last place one should go to expect some degree of thoughtful discussion or honest debate. It's the venue for toxic personalities, trivial rivalries, the desire to feel important, and the provision of so much flawed logic, hypocrisy, and stereotypes that it really isn't worth the effort at disabusing them. Once, I was more than willing to provide some discussion in depth but the truth of the matter is that given the typical audience on the IGS it will generally degenerate into the derivative of ignorant thought and opinion.

Certainly the allegation could be made I've been rather dishonest the past few months, but for me it simply reached the point where acting the part of being a reflection of how I see so many on the IGS and on the Summit provided far more satisfaction than being actually honest and thoughtful here in public.

As for being a "big" IGS personality. Well, that's not something I'm likely to put on my own resume like it means a damn.

I've been and remain a citizen of the State, under SuuVe. My story is nothing of note, beyond rising through ranks and even having my way to the pod paid by my company under the megacorp. While capsuleerdom certainly separates you quite a few degrees further from the former place of employment little have changed in neither my loyalties nor relationship to SuuVe or the State.

You need to start keeping a flow chart or something if you're going to be making any claims about Caldari capsuleers and their political affiliations.

Gesakaarin, I really have nothing to add to your words. They ring rather true, for the most part.

The more people are talking in one place, the more likely one of them is to say something stupid. Throw in our wonderful ability to selectively place far more weight on one second of stupidity than on a whole day of wisdom and you've got a recipe for the place having apparently gone downhill.

This place is still a venue for thoughtful discussion, it's just that the thoughtful among us lack the ability to just ignore the idiots and carry on - they too easily derail the conversations.

Ooooooh, this raises the intriguing question who are counted in which camp and by whom. For that matter, are the thoughtful and wise so thoughtful and wise when they rise to the bait? If not, I honestly can't think of anyone I wouldn't pile in the idiot enclosure, myself included.

Do connect to the comms once in a while, dear Verin. You're harder to reach than ever before, it seems.

I've found the effort in being thoughtful in public discussion with many and at most times can be akin to the tradition where one burns the paper upon which they write the aphorisms of their lives to scatter the ashes on the winds.

You'll note I tacitly excluded myself from the ranks of the thoughtful. It doesn't seem polite somehow to automatically assume you're one of the intelligentsia.

And yes, I know I'm a hard man to get hold of at the moment. It's to a large extent out of my hands. Normal service may or may not be resumed in the near to middle future.

Drive her insane, no (she's been there since they pulled her out of the cloning vat the first time, possibly longer). Drive her to a frothing, angry rant, yes.

Diana Kim received beatings from half-naked men while serving the Caldari State??

Perhaps the long awaited explanation for Diana Kim's sociopathic tendencies has finally arrived!

Those academy bills didn't pay themselves.
Maybe someone with thorough memorization of the NOH portfolio in this particular brand of entertainment can shed some light onto this.
Yuan, where are you when we need your expertise?

I could not find the person "Kim, Diana" in any of our corporate databases either as an employee or as an freelance contractor regarding the adult entertainment industry sector of Nugoeihuvi Corporation.

It is possible the work is under pseudonym and via various subcontractors. Data present is insufficient for more detailed inquiry.

Personally I think it is unlikely she ever partook in such work, at least knowingly.

NONSENSE!!

IGS is the home of Muck Raker! Rabble Rousers and all kinds of creative and concerned personalities. I can't speak for everyone but we pride ourselves on deep thought and vibrant discussion. No other venue provides anywhere near the depth, interesting topics and of course constant entertainment!!

Now you'll all have to excuse me as I need to go talk to the corp that runs my clone vat. I'm going to have bio-mass added to my next clone so I can have extra-extra-large nipples!

Then I am going to join the Caldari Navy since posters here have confirmed that large nipples are a rapid path to promotion! As soon as I'm an admiral I'll crash a Titan into a planet!

It's the Caldari way.

Insanity is not hubris, not pride; it is inflation of the ego to its ultimate - confusion between him who worships and that which is worshipped. Man has not eaten God; God has eaten man.

Just in case you don't make it in the Caldari Navy and get stuck in the Federal Navy, don't forget to whelp an enormous fleet of Dreadnaughts every now and then, m'kay?

On the other hand, provided you can suppress your gag reflex and find the prostate, you should be a shoe-in for Flag rank in the Federal Navy.
