Repeatedly disconnecting

Hi guys, I'm running the game on a mid-2012 MacBook Pro and have experienced regular disconnects from day one of playing EVE. I've been running an internet connectivity monitor regularly whilst playing the game and have recorded zero disconnects (even when the game itself goes offline).

I opened a ticket but was basically told: "it must be something with your computer / modem / connection", which didn't really help!

If anyone has any suggestions on what I can try, to further analyse / pinpoint any faults, that would be great. The way things stand, I'm not sure how long I can put up with playing the game and having it disconnect multiple times every session.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give! Smile

EDIT: Just for some added info, when the game is actually running, it works well - I've experienced no other issues outside of the disconnects... Thanks!

If it is a socket closed error you are getting I have solved that issue by using Network Utility to ping TQ. It's IP I'm told is 82.237.38.200. I set Network Utility to ping that IP forever basically and I've not had a disconnect since :)

Hope that is of some help.

Hey, thanks a lot for the tip... I did have the suggestion that it could be something similar, with my connection experiencing packet loss, causing the disconnect(s).

Will update if I have any luck.

In the meantime, any other help / updates from people in the know, would be appreciated! Big smile

So the Network Utility advice helped a little - the disconnects are definitely less frequent, but they do still occur a lot more than I'd like.

Any further advice on this guys?

Thanks!
