Sometimes Im just WTZing around and lose site of my envirnoment....until Im caught in a warp bubble. Ugh

I then have that "oh crap..Im in null sec" moment. Shocked

Usually followed by the pop of my pod. Pirate

My biggest problem are the shades of red between low-sec and null. I have trouble telling the differences sometimes. I imagine some color blind players may have such problems as well.

Null should be purple, since it's an unused color and would distinguish it from low sec.

Please consider this change CCP.

Well......I have no issues with this change. A vibrant purple wouldn't hurt #330D4C

This is as nice as I get. Best quote ever https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=4137165#post4137165

A usually helpful guide is system name on the outbound gate you are hitting. Genereally 0.0 names are jsut a bit different. Few numbers, few letters and a hyphen in them usually all mixed up.

Not going to go through all the low sec systems on 0.0 border space to find excpetions to this lol.

I like this because it'd be easy to tell what's nullsec from the little squares in the route planner. It also makes clear that nullsec is different from lowsec. I think if a newbie sets a path somewhere, they'll see some purple squares and realise they're flying somewhere different

It'll also make comprehending the map easier.

Good idea, I fully support this. As a colorblind person, I'm always up for less red & green color schemes :)

Wait, so you somehow ignore that giant sec-number on your screen, don't notice the system name is now an incomprehensible mess of numbers and letters instead of a proper name, or the sudden change in ambience music? But colors are similar, yeah. There's a problem. I don't know, seems a bit backwards to me. Lol

How about blue? Blue would be a nice color for NullSec.

Someone hasn't seen a 1.0 in a while.

Blanking signatures doesn't seem to work, so this is here.

Aren't they the same thing nowadays? ;)

In addition to different colour, perhaps a different shape for the various securities? Circles, squares, triangles, diamonds, etc. instead of just all squares? Maybe even make it user selectable?

In defence of the name, some of us have been hanging around the nullsec border, or wormholes long enough, our brains no longer register the junble of letters.

Its like a forced Dyslexia, we see a word and instantly start pronouncing it in a forced english with soem letters removed/added, or we instantly hit a nickname based on the sequence.

Man, I feel like a robot now. I always vocalize NullSec- and W-Space systems letter for letter, number for number in my head. (I make a exception for Poitot, though. Lol)

So I'm sorry but I have to be devils advocate here. There needs to be some room screw-up that's the joy of eve, learning from mistakes. We shouldn't actively stupid proof the game.

I know this is a small kinda over ridicules stand on this topic but sometimes space sucks. welcome to eve ;)

Yeah why not, if it helps?! :D

I'm not colour blind but for people who are red is indeed a problem, changing it to purple would solve many issues for people affected by it while not being detrimental in any sort of way for people who aren't.
