Did you try the solution posted further up this thread?

Using this method, I CAN USE BOTH TQ AND SISI ALLRIGHT.

2 things:

sisi client downloaded a patch today (which was a b*tch to get done correctly)
I did the fix that was recomended earlier by CCP Sledgehammer

I Still cannot launch TQ and now my sisi launcher is attempting to connect to TQ as well.

Yesterday i did exactly this:

Steam Access to Singulartiy

Right click on Eve Online in the Games List and select Properties.
Under the GENERAL tab click on SET LAUNCH OPTIONS...
A small pop-up window should open and insert /server:Singularity into the command line.
Click OK, Close EVE Online - Properties and launch Eve Online.
The launcher will update and may or may not list Singularity as your server either way don't worry just click play.
You should now be playing on the Singularity server.
To return to Tranquility simply reopen SET LAUNCH OPTIONS.. and remove everything in the command line.

And today i can't connect.
Now i installed the original Eve Client, but its the same as on the Steam Client.

So long i have the Steam Client, i did not find the cd Library/Application\ Support/EVE\ Online/ Folder.

Now i have installed also the normal Eve Client i i have found him, changed the line “Path” = “@tmp@” to “Path” = “/tmp”
but non of the two clients will start.

Same here. Updated SiSi client two nights ago through SiSi launcher.

Just updated Tranq client through launcher, now Tranq client won't launch from launcher.

I guess its time to remove the SiSi client for good. Don't mind helping and testing, but this is ridiculous, and even more so since CCP insists on using something like Cider and DirectX instead of moving to SDL, OpenGL or another CROSS-PLATFORM tech that would allow real native OSX and Linux (steamOS?) clients.

Had the very same issue. For me, what helped what creating a folder "@TMP@" (without the quotes obviously) within
the "Library/Application Support/Eve Online" folder that contained the "config" file.

Just double-checked, and yes, I can start both the singularity client and the TQ client.

Just also checked: Symbolic link works, too.... so:

1. Open Terminal
2. Type “cd Library/Application\ Support/EVE\ Online/"
3. Type "ln -s /tmp @TMP@"

4. start your eve client

Thank you !

Well, that folder SHOULD be there, or I could understand why the game is not running. It should be inside your user's home folder, but the Library folder is not visible from the finder... can you affirm that the folder cannot be changed via the terminal as described?

I couldn't get any of the easy fixes to work and just ended up caving in and deleting the entire EVE online folder in application support.

All my settings are gone :(

Had the same launcher issue. Suggestions like deleting config file / entire Eve Online folder in the Library folder didn't solve the issue.

I used the 'App Cleaner' app ( http://freemacsoft.net ) to remove all files belonging to the game. Afterwards i re-downloaded the client and *boom* everything worked again.

Today, I had my usual two Tq clients operational. Then out of the blue, both froze and I had to force quit. At first I thought it was a modem problem, but after 3 computer and modem resets, no change.

Basically what happens is that I can open the launcher, but after I login and it begins to launch, nothing happens. The game never shows up period.

Short of reinstalling, I have no idea on a fix.

Mac details

2011 MBP factor 8.2
Mavericks
8gb ram
AMD 6750HD
2.2 ghz I7 duo

I was getting similar problems, though only in SISI where i login to launcher > hit Play > nothing..? But could still login to TQ with no problem.
I then read that the Mac OS will need to be upgraded to at least Lion 10.7 for all the facilities to work.

So I have recently upgraded to Mavericks and now I can login to SISi, though now I have NO sound, NO game audio, can't hear a bloody thing and I am now unable to login to TQ at all..?

CCP when will there be a fix..???

I just had this problem with TQ after the patch tonight. TQ launcher v2.1.655130

The solution for my problem was changing @TMP@ to /tmp as documented earlier in the thread.
