It's been over a week and my signed EVE: Source book still has not left Germany. Why are we paying over $30 for shipping? I've ordered stuff from Japan for a fraction of that shipping and it's arrived quicker.

Going over the comments here it looks like the current store is worse then the old store, which I thought couldn't get any worse.

Having said that I have no complaints about the pre-order and delivery of the EVE second decade box.
All I want now are some big posters with no stupid cq-cg characters on it for on my walls.

For the new Monetization Director whom ever you'll be, you can start right ^there, I have my money ready.

This very topic was discussed in the recent CSM summit. In fact CCP were the ones who brought it up, and the CSM were unanimous in echoing the sentiments expressde in this thread.

IIRC, my exact words to David Reid were: "There are a hell of a lot of EVE players who want to buy EVE swag. And they are buying it; they're just not buying it from you."

"Just remember later that I warned against any change to jump ranges or fatigue. You earned whats coming."

That's odd: I got mine a couple of days ago.

Thanks for responding Malcanis. Looking forward to seeing the fruits of the summit. Can we expect minutes in a reasonable amount of time?

I'm still waiting for the availability of the 4 racial posters they have been advertizing for 2 years now....but are still and NEVER been in stock yet. Very very pathetic IMO...

EDIT Correction:

Now I can't even find the posters for sale at all... Pathetic...

Models were announced at Fanfest: "To start off, CCP plans to offer two ship model types so that there can be a sense of scale congruent to the game. The first is a 10" model line, built by Quantum Mechanix, with the Megathron starting the run. To compliment this and provide a "larger than life" feel, CCP is working with a second model publisher, Triforce, to produce a 28" model line, with the Nyx being the first run. Finally, CCP t0rfifrans hinted at a release on March 20, 2015" http://themittani.com/news/fanfest-2014-ccp-presents

I can only assume that the store isn't a money-making venture, and it is probably a chore to administer. That said, gamers, especially Eve players are emotionally tied into their games unlike most others...even more so than those that live for Minecraft or WOW. The more you can do to integrate the game into their real life, the more strength the connection between the two. The long-term relationship building that a having beautiful ship model siting nicely on the shelf in sight of the player of drinking from an Eve-branded cup is a marketer's dream.

Small stuff like stickers, cups, and low-cost jewelry that the player can have and see when away from the game goes along way towards keeping the player connected, and paying.

Brand loyalty is the name of the game here. Might be a small loss and a pain to run, but it pays off in many ways.

CCP...better store please. Thanks.

The only thing I've bought from the EVE store is the Rifter T-shirt which is a thing of beauty if not a bit too expensive. Would love to see a wide assortment of lesser items in there.
