Why are there no binary star systems in EVE?

I don't know how you managed to entirely miss the the visual effects for the star in your current system, which is what I was talking about.

Well, yes I did notice that too, the new stars in system look good, but for pure atmosphere, the background stars have more impact I feel. :)

I thought we were talking about the background stars. The main stars are nice.

Look, I have to have to break this to you, but Eve Online is a computer game.

This ships you fly, warping, star-gates etc are not real, or based on real physics either.

I knew I ought to have avoided this thread. Every time it comes up, links like that are posted and I spend the next 3 hours jumping through wikipedia pages about stars, supernovas, black holes and stellar kinematics.
