Distribution Missions

So I've been doing level 4 distribution missions, mostly as a semi-afk way of raising my standings to a specific NPC corporation. I started at 8pm last night and chugged away until around mid-night. In that time I managed 18 missions. My total remuneration was 6,551,000 isk!

CCP nerfed these to hell for some good reason, did they?

Level IV distribution pay the LP and the ISK and standing of level III security or mining missions.

Presumably because you can run 2,3 or more of them simultaneously if you are clever about your routes.

I found the way points going all over the place and the need to decline/delay the ones that send you 8 jumps away or into low sec meant it wasn't worth doing multiple agents.

I just found some nice lev 4 agent that I repeatly spammed over and over. If you dont autopilot you can still read eve forums/blogs on a second monitor or listen to music :P

I think the reason they give so little rewards is because there is no risk? your in a tanked badger in high sec, no rats to deal with. You dont have any cargo worth anything and if you dont auto pilot and you dont fly under war decs... well you can still be ganked for giggles, but thats rare as their are better targets. You can grind into the lev 4 missions via lev 2s-3s in a weekend and as a brand new raw player its awesum. One of the better ways to get yrself implants early.

If your Caldari try Itamo and Isenairos as a new player. Great hubs and all you need is a tutorial badger.

Will gank for food

Well there was a risk because I was 1 jump away from Nijara Lol.

Lol, that doesn't seem worth it. That's like one bounty tick when I do level 4s.

Word to the wise:

Only Rick Ross can truly be into distribution.

I don't know about 'before' because I've only been playing for a couple of months now, but I started Distribution missions for the same reason: raise standings.

With that as the motivation and not the ISK what I was interested in was a) social skills to increase the standings gain, and b) increasing the speed to complete each mission.

So instead of using a 'big and slow' Iteron V for these missions, and always having plenty of spare room, I looked instead at the small and nimble Nereus. Add some 'warp speed' rigs, some inertial stabilisers, and some skill points in Evasive Maneuvering (and a couple extra to Gallente Industrial) and you have a ship which can warp off in 5 seconds and warp at 8.8 AU/s. For level 4 missions pack 2 or 3 cargohold expanders for the bigger loads when you need them.

With something like that you should be able to average 6-7 minutes per mission. Say one storyline mission every 2 hours.

To increase the rewards add some skills to Negotiation (for ISK) and Distribution Connections (for LP).

I also looked for proximity to the Storyline agents I wanted; the reward for level 4 "materials for war preparation" is quite good: a 20m implant for 1m materials.

Feel free to contact me in game.
