So I've downloaded the patch three times, and all three times I get the corrupted file notification asking if I'd like to re-download again.

This isn't the first time in my Eve history that this has happened, so I'm used to it, but for the love of God CCP, you guys should be checking for this stuff before releasing the patch. I'd rather only download the patch, and not the whole damned Eve file, as it deletes my OV settings and active bookmarks, which is a royal pain in the ass.

Please link the updated patch or post when the Mac client patch works.

Thanks

I've downloaded the client several times now and each time I get a a data corruption notification during verification. Koflikt suggested I do an md5 hash on what I download. On his end the md5 result of his working dmg was 710f26df3a6ac1e04502d673a0af62b4; on my end it is different with every download. Koflikt also deferred any further resolution of this issue being that not enough people have this problem (or reported it as a bug).

This site explains how to run an md5 hash: http://osxdaily.com/2009/10/13/check-md5-hash-on-your-mac/

I've spoke to someone in operations and he wanted to know

If you are updating: are you downloading updates from via the client?
Otherwise:
What is your geographical location?
Who is your ISP?
Are you using a proxy server? (Corporate networks, university networks or anything else fancy between you and the connection out your building)

I just spent three hours downloading the patch - and it has frozen at 99% downloaded.

I can't even try installing it.

Has anyone managed to find some way to get this to update please? I really don't fancy downloading the full client if the patch takes this long.

Why is it that Mac users always get shafted like this?

Edit - this is downloading from the client, on an iMac. My ISP is Demon in the UK. At Home, not a shared connection.

As attractive a wallpaper the 99% downloaded client patch might be, I suppose I will have to abort the download. Then all I have to do is find the willpower not to delete the whole thing and give up EVE.

File corruption was caused by my router.
