With 2013 revenue of $155 billion, GM is fined $35 million for breaking U.S. laws for 10 years.

The irony is who pays the fine? Of course the customers among those that probably had the defect. Roll
If anything, should have made GM dish out rebates to any customers effected. Government doesn't need to benefit from it, not even as little as it is.
