Kronos on SiSi... Meh...

There is a bit to take from this thread, OP is just too stupid to focus on it correctly.

CCP Falcon told us KRONOS was on SiSi.

The reality is MOST of Kronos is on SiSi, specifcally the lines of code part. Falcon didn't specify this, so it's likely the OP figured out and downloaded SiSi specifically to play wih the new ships, just to find they aren't even there yet, which is annoying, because setting up SiSi can be a headache your first time, and downloading the patch takes a while.

Would have been nice if the announcement was more accurate and said what bits were not included and if/when they would be included.

Also, OP, Dominix isn't slated for Kronos.

The reasons for people quiting EVE are becoming more ret*rded by the day. Just when you think it can't get any stupider, some idiot like this comes along and proves you wrong. Straight

What's next? People are going to quit because the login screen has the wrong tint of blue? Or maybe because there's a spelling error in a ship description?

Regardless of the reason, please know this, you won't be missed. Not even a little.

Also, I am back playing on and off after nearly 2 years. The new absolution and nighthawk makes me want to cry. Fire whoever you have making these kinds of very very bad decisions.

i doubt they'll fire an employee because some one who hasn't been giving them money for 2 years is crying about changes the rest of us are happy with.

No accounting for taste.

I highly doubt that your contentment with a harbinger looking absolution is widespread in the general population (regardless what the trolls in general will parrot). Hell, i remember when they turned navy megathrons into that stupid army green. Everyone on the forums were like "STFU it looks good" but in game people were swearing up a storm. In the actual game no one seemed to like it at all.

At least they are a little more black now. But even still, they presently look like a black ship with green mold growing on them. Some kind of derelict type ship that is missing some of the most basic aspects of what makes a thing ascetically pleasing to the eye.

Granted I would not expect someone like you to understand, but CGI artists on a payroll sure as hell should.

Went to check it out.. Meh..

Condor model looks GREAT! (see: balanced design)

Moa model is still the same Lego crap.. And I thought the Domi was getting love too?

Mordus... Please, I thought the all white thing with the SOE ships were originally just a "still in the skin design phase"... If those skins for Mordus stay, I'm out. There are reasons to believe that they are not complete, but there are also signs that they may be.
And btw the Mordu frigate is the Dramiel model, so it is unavailable.

Also, ship attributes not updated such as the Rattlesnake. Still shows same old bonuses, no new drone info, but the actual fitting info looks to be accurate?

I understand this is 'testing'. But for real, you don't have a single QA on the payroll? I'll do it for a price.

Can I have your stuff?

This is as nice as I get. Best quote ever https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=4137165#post4137165

Im so mad guys, its been like 1 day since Sisi was updated with stuff for a patch thats 3 weeks away. I am out of here GG CCP no RE.

so actually you have 3 weeks till new expansion hits production server
and official testing server has not been updated to actual expansion.

now the question: for how long players will be able to test new expansion and devs fixing broken stuff? Looking at story with tooltips fixing is not strong in CCP What?

if it's broken on june 3rd, they'll just fix it on july 22nd. all hail our new 6 week release overlords.

Makes me glad I don't work for CCP, imagine having a customer base that wants to chop your head off for every little thing.

Actually, this kind of resentment does not happen over night. It is cumulative over many years, many let downs and numerous frustrations.

As for the log in screen... what log in screen? Do you see a log in screen? Where is our "new release animation" that we can get emotionally invested in and be tricked into believing that this new expansion would change eve forever, and make things awesome?

And what fool thought that it would be a good idea to remove it in favor for what we have now?

CCP seems to have a track record of removing epic things that actually made the game better.

Like the old smartbomb effect, or
epic ship explosions noticeable from everywhere on grid,
simply because they lasted several seconds and not just HALF of ONE ...

I'm still pissed at them for this ...

i have about 50000 paying customers. Not me personally but my team develops and supports product with this amount of clients.
And we never develop and make into production feature we haven't tested to the end and without any concerns about its usability.

For last few years we only receive bugreports when something really unpredictable happens.

Compare it to CCP's tradition to bring you something you haven't heard about, something which is not 100% tested and not 100% usable. Like latest tooltips. Did they really need to make it? Nope. But they spent their time, effort and money to deliver it. And now lots of clients are suffer because of this bad planned decision.

So yes, i can understand Eve Online customer base.....

Allow me to reference Halo 4 online play as an example.

People were pretty pissed about that, because they were paying for a Halo game. What they got instead was Halo/Call of duty. If people wanted to play Call of Duty, they would have freakin played call of duty. There are numerous Call of Duty games to chose from and only one Halo.

But the Halo devs elected to "do what everyone else is doing" and what they put out there look like halo, but could not be more different then halo. Halo 4 online play was not only Call of Duty online, it had new mechanics in it that allowed you to basically just run away from a fight and escape death in a way that you could never do in the previous installments. This pissed off allot of fast twitch Halo ninja's that had been honing their super human reflexes for many years.

Eve has been doing this very same thing for a long time. Not only is it becoming more like other MMORPGs that many of us have no interest in playing, but we currently exist in a game that is "part this game" and "part that game" atm.

What do I mean by that? Well, take a good look at your ridiculous cloths. Half of the player base looks like they are about to walk out their front door and head out to the mall. This is not the wardrobe of mighty pod pilots that we once wore... These are the cloths that Vampires and Twilight tards would have been wearing in World of Darkness. The devs used eve to test features for that game out here in a spaceship simulator, and ruined a prime component in EVE's universal lore in the process.

Incarna? Well gee wiz, I love walking in circles inside of a room all by myself as my computer lags to hell and back after... how many years now? I don't know, I am not sure how long the Jita protests and mass subscription cancels were. I have lost track.

So don't mistake our resentment for anger at the hull of a meh Kronos.
We are still pissed about a great many things from years past. Blink
