Yey, the added background texture when you mouseover several objects in space.
But, seems they screwed up the overview... :<
You can't see the names when you place mouseover them on the overview area...

Anyone else experiencing this problem?

Edit: I figured out, you need to mouseover the name column for actual names. Just I have a feeling that they added small delay for it to show up.

I am proud to tell you guys that the application is currently downloaded approximately 1000 times a year, which certainly makes me a happy man :) Next to that I want to inform you guys that a new update will be available within the next month. I'm unable to tell you what will be in this update but you can expect a minor UI update and the possibility to load previously saved labels.

Kind regards,
Grauth Thorner

I am using a multi level label. Whenever someone gets webbed or scrammed, the label appears each time and basically ends up appearing 5 times and covering alot of that area of the screen. Any way around this without making it single level?

As far as I'm aware this is not something that can be changed within the options. You can however try scaling the fontsize of the label down one or two notches which might do the trick for you. This can be done upon creation of the label.

Sorry for my noobness, but I just discover that kind of awesome tool by now.
First, thank you for your effort to help the players.
My question is: With the new overview modification bring by hyperion, is this still working?
If yes, I am just download the program and give it a try. Thanks

It even works better than before, because labels are less likely to overlap eachother even if a label has multiple lines. I do have to change the manual though because the 'import overview settings' has been moved to a different location. Now you have to open the overview settings, then go to the tab 'Misc' and there you will find the button 'Import overview settings'.

Fly safe!

Sorry again for asking obvious stuffs, but I am not a computer guy.. I am just an eve addicted, if you understand me.
As I can see, it is working ok, I just have to download it and magic. But please clarify me some doubts:

1 – I run the program, make my choices, export the result to a folder, opens eve and import it to my overview? Is that the right steps? Or that are some more complicated steps? I just want to understand it to do not get it wrong when I make the changes.

2 – It will change everything displayed or only the “player out of NPC corporation”? I really want it to work for every ship, not only for player corps ships.

3 - If the program do not change the NPC profile, are you planing to upgrade the program to do it later?

Thank you in advance for fast response. I am still at work, but trying to clear all doubts to get home later and do it right in the first time.

Yes, these are basically all the steps you'll have to take. Assuming you play on Windows, you won't even have to select a folder to export the file to, you can just use the default map. The manual still contains a lot of useful information about creating whatever suits you best, so I still do advice to read this (it's written in a tag-along kind of way). Also keep in mind that you might have to dock-up your ship after you have imported the overview settings to activate the new imported overview settings.

Castelo Selva wrote:

By default it will only work for players that are in any non-npc corp ship, so basically about 80% of the ships, depending on what security level you mainly fly in. It is possible to make it also affect ships of players that are in an NPC-corp, to find out how to do this (I have to say though, this can be a bit more complicated) have a look at post #99, page 5 of this same topic. Here you can see a picture where I explain what steps you have to take for this to work.

I might, but I can't say for sure if I will. The problem is that the application (probably) becomes a lot less easy to use, while ease-of-use was the main reason why I made the application in the first place. I will however do a brainstorm-session about the possibilities for this sometime soon (I can't give an exact date, because I'm currently quite busy).

I hope this helped,
Grauth Thorner

The program works perfectly. I was a bit sceptical at the start because I am not a computer expert. Nevertheless the program are easy to use, and the pdf guide very well written.

I also did the trick for the players at NPC Corp and it is working right with the changes you explain at post 99.

I am very happy with the results, thank you so much.

I'm currently working on another updated version of the application. Hopefully this will be complete within a week or so.

Next to that I've updated my website, it's now possible to sign-up for a service called 'Notify me'. With this service it's possible to get notifications through mail whenever a new update of EVE Online Custom Ship Labeler has been released (other projects will follow in the future). Or, depending on your settings, receive a notification through mail about all current and future application releases developed by me.

Signing up for 'Notify me' can be done here: http://www.iciclesoft.com/notifyme/

Version 1.1.0 has been released! Below the patch notes of this release:

- Added a method to load/save your creations so you can share your creations more easily and edit them at a later stage.
- Gave users the choice to apply the shiplabel for non-npc-corp players only (used to be the default) or all players, including those in an npc-corp.
- The outputted XML-file is now easier to read by humans, because of added newlines and indentations.
- Added ease-of-use for some UI-elements (for instance, pressing enter when picking a color now picks the color as well).
- Minor UI changes, including a fresh info-button (Yay! That blue one was so 2013!).
- Fixed a bug where some graphics would visually overlap other graphics.
- Fixed a bug where using the 'Replace color' component gave a false warning.

Bugs fixed thanks to Relnaya Paakh:
- Fixed a bug where the wrong slash was used for MAC-users when exporting the XML-file.
- Fixed a bug where the fontsize wouldn't represent itself correct in the example and in-game.

Thanks to Relnaya Paakh for reporting these bugs so they could be fixed!

I hope you guys enjoy the new release!
Kind regards,
Grauth Thorner

Just a reminder:
If you like the application you can always make a donation in ISK to me to show your appreciation. In case you are not sure about how much you should donate, try to estimate how much time you saved by using the application compared to writing the xml-file/yaml-file yourself in hours. Devide this by two and multiply it by the amount of ISK you generate per hour. This way your time saved is shared equally between you and me based on your ISK/hour rate.

Cheers,
Grauth Thorner

Is this application available for non-ship labeling such as MTU's, Mobile Depot's? I haven't used it yet so I am inquiring based on a hook theory that if it does allow me to label my non ship items then considered me landed.

Will other players be able to see the ship labels as well or is just a first person viewing?

I have also added your tool to my site under the Essential Pilot Tools section - http://thehighprotectorate.hyperboards.com/index.php

Yes it does work for mobile tractor units and mobile depots! =) it basically works for anything owned by a player.

Only you will be able to see the shiplabels according to your creation, other players will only be able to see their own design(s), or ofc the default settings.

Thanks for adding it to your forum Big smile
