The current "This week in EVE" gives on overview of the week from May 10th to 16th

Dev blogs and official information
  • Coming in Kronos: Introducing what's in the Kronos release - Forum discussion
  • The Kronos release is scheduled for June 3rd and it brings a lot of features and improvements! New pirate faction ships from Mordu's Legion, the T2 variant of the Venture, faction themed station exteriors, sound customization, rigs for freighters and more is heading to you swiftly. Read all about these changes in CCP Seagull's latest blog. Most of those features are already available on the test server Singularity.

  • Fanfest 2015 Tickets Are Now Available! - Forum discussion
  • After an incredibly successful Fanfest this year, we are happy to announce that tickets are now on sale for Fanfest 2015. The event will be held at the usual venue, Harpa in Reykjavik Iceland. Fanfest 2015 will be held on March 19-21, 2015. Read more on how you can reserve your tickets already and get a nice early bird discount in CCP Falcon's dev blog.

  • Developer Spotlight: Xhagen - Forum discussion
  • The Developer Spotlights by CCP Eterne feature each a CCP developer and supplies you with a lot of interesting background and personal information. This developer spotlight features the Associate Producer for EVE Development, CCP Xhagen. Don't miss this exciting spotlight!

  • Fanfest 2014 Art Concept Session - Forum discussion
  • CCP Nag did a little sketching demo during Fanfest 2014 and the fans who attended asked to publish the resulting image. Check out the result and don't miss the very interesting Concept Art Live Session with CCP Nag and CCP BasementBen!

  • Tiptoe through the tooltips - Forum discussion
  • Tooltips are a small but very important first step in radically overhauling and improving the experience for new players and those playing at all levels of EVE Online. Read all about those new tooltips and more in CCP DelegateZero's latest blog.

  • Delivering the Industry New Eden deserves - Forum discussion
  • CCP RubberBAND explains that the industry features originally supposed to be published with the Kronos release (July 3rd) need some more polish and fine tuning before they are really in the shape we want them to be. Fanfest and lots of player feedback helped to make this decision as well as the new release model (10 releases a year instead of 2 expansions). The industry features will be released with the Crius release on 22 July.

  • From 2 expansions to 10 releases - EVE Online's new release model explained - Forum discussion
  • CCP Seagull, Senior Producer of EVE Online, brings exciting news from the production side of EVE. Traditionally we had two expansions a year for EVE Online. With immediate effect, this changes now to 10 releases per year starting with the Kronos release on July 3rd. The benefits of this increased deployment speed and this new production model are explained in this blog. One benefit is that we now can publish features are soon as they are ready only when they are fully ready.

  • CSM9: Presenting the New Council Members, Election Data, and Officer Changes - Forum discussion
  • As per Fanfest tradition, CCP Hellmar announced the election results for the 9th Council of Stellar Management (CSM9) during the CCP Presents keynote at Fanfest 2014. CCP Leeloo presents in her latest devblog now the details of this election.

  • Additional Geckos Now Available!
  • As result of the EVE is 11 anniversary challenge, every subscribed EVE Online account received four additional Gecko drones. Make sure that you claim that prize before June 3rd when it expires!

Devposts on the forum and news
[list]
  • Testing the New Eden Store (not available any longer)
  • An updated in-game store was available for public testing on the Singularity test server. The New Eden Store (previously known as the NEX Store) is part of a revamp and simplification of how items like ship skins, clothing and, in the future, services like character re-sculpting and multiple character training are offered. This first test is finished now and the new Store not available for tests any longer - thanks to everyone who helped!

  • Limited Single Sign On Trial!
  • CCP FoxFour has exciting news regarding the EVE Single Sign On: we are looking at starting a trial of the EVE SSO. We would like to get several web sites to integrate the EVE SSO into their site under certain conditions. More details about this interesting initiative are available in the thread linked above. Also check out the Fanfest 2014 Third Party Developer presentation on YouTube.

  • Singularity mirror and POS
  • When installing a new mirror image from Tranquility to Singularity, all anchored starbase structures are deleted in this mirror on Singularity. This is necessary to prevent using Singularity for spying and safe information gathering that can be used on Tranquility.

  • Wormholes are removed from kill endpoints
  • After lots of feedback, involving hundreds of constructive forum posts, game design, CSM9, the decision to remove Wormholes from kill endpoints was confirmed. This means that NPC, pod, and ship kill counts for Wormhole systems will no longer be available from the EVE API. This change will probably implemented with Kronos. Thank you everyone for the good feedback and discussions!

  • Kronos features on Singularity
  • CCP Goliath delightfully informs us that the Kronos release was deployed on the test server on May 14. He also has summarized the relevant features available on the test server and provides links to specific discussion threads.

  • [Kronos] Signature radius increase of dreadnoughts
  • The Citadel torpedos and the Phoenix receive some changes in the coming Kronos release - that is known since a while. CCP Fozzie now also reveals plans to change the signature radius of all four dreads by around 40%.

  • [Kronos] Mordu's Legion pirate faction ships
  • With the Kronos release you will see a set of new ships for the pirate faction Mordu's Legion. CCP Rise presents the Garmur (frigate), Orthrus (cruiser), and Barghest (battleship). The ship blueprint copies can be bought in the Mordu's LP store in Pure Blind, the blueprint copies also will drop from a new set of NPC in low sec (all low sec in New Eden has the same chances for such a drop). Mordu's ships are focused on three main themes: speed, missiles, and warp scram/disruptor range. Check the thread for more information.

  • [Kronos] Factional Warfare Complex Improvements
  • With the Kronos release you will see changes in the Factional Warfare complexes, large outposts, NPC and spawning changes and cloaking prevention within capturing range of the complex. CCP Fozzie provides further background information surrounding the plans for the NPC and cloaking changes and farming complexes.

  • [Kronos] More lowsec K-K wormholes
  • CCP Greyscale comes forward with an interesting suggestion based on discussions on Fanfest 2014 and asks for your feedback. The number of k-k (ie within known space - to high, low and null) wormholes in lowsec will be increased. This is aimed primarily at adding opportunities for small roaming fleets. The proposal is to leave the number of low->high as is at a ~1% chance per system, kicking low->null up to ~9% per system, and low->low up to ~20% per system.

  • [Kronos] Audio Customization in the ESC menu
  • With the Kronos release we will see a completely reworked sound level customization system. CCP WhiteNoiseTrash explains that this system allows you to turn down a lot of individual sounds and also allows you to choose which sounds you don't want to hear from inactive clients. Check out the test server where this system is already available!

  • [Kronos] New Ship Skins
  • With the Kronos release you will see 20 new ship skins. 12 of these skins will be available in a revamped New Eden Store, the other 8 skins can only be obtained through exploration in low security space. The EVE keynote and the Art presentation showed some of the tech demo regarding ship customization.

  • [Kronos] "Little" UI things
  • CCP karkur informs us about useful UI changes coming with the Kronos release. Please note that no game mechanic changes are involved, "just" the user interface is improved. Check out this...

An according feedback thread will probably be available next week. After that it will get listed in the next weekly summary.

Fanfest and then being sick for a week unfortunately prevented me from publishing the previous two weekly summaries.

Yes, indeed! You can subscribe to the weekly summary here.

But always remember to hit the forums and shower CCP Phantom with praise and likes so no cheapskate boss can miss how important this work is!

    And on that note.

Please make sure that someone is covering for you when you have your well earned vacation.

I've said it before but I'll say it again.

You can ignore the launcher news, you can ignore the forums, you can ignore all other sites and all blogs.

But you should never ignore "This Week in EVE".

CCP Greyscale: As to starbases, we agree it's pretty terrible, but we don't want to delay the entire release just for this one factor.

So true! Even if you are active in the forums to some degree, there's always something to find in the weekly overview.
(something that slipped, though, was that Rubicon 1.4 static data and imagery got released in the week passed)

I saw the multi character training thing. It's nice, but I'm not going to spend an ADDITIONAL $19.99 just to be able to train an alt.

From what ive read, there is more k-Space than w-Space. The amount of wh to w-Space is much higher than wh within k-Space.

If wh is a Natural phenomena, there should be much more wh that is within k-Space and lesser to w-Space.

why so unbalanced distribution betwnene K-Space and w-Space? (other than creating enough ways into w-Space)

The price for dual training is actually too high, when a months Subscription cost only 14,95... so the offer is really bad.

Oh, clearly. It's a cash grab. Nothing more, nothing less, same as the NEX/Aur Store.
