Not my personal choice. It came with the pay raise.

Yeah, but you look good in dress-whites, Katrina. Especially those pants.

Is that.. are.. are you flirting with me or mocking me?

... on second thought, it's probably both.

It's definitely both.

For the first time since I started the conversation, he looks me dead in the eye. In his gaze are steel jackhammers, quiet vengeance, a hundred thousand orbital bombs frozen in still life.

Mr Neus I enjoyed your report. Is lovely to see some capsuleers taking their corporation's internal affairs so diligently.

However seeing as it's in fact exactly that - internal news, perhaps a private holosite blog may be more suitable and less likely to have pages of nonsense posted by others between each report.

A good read in any case. Fly fun sir!

I second his opinion, completely... In or out of the dress whites. Big smile

Admiral Neus, I'm not sure what the point is of this highly detailed log - I can simply look up your records on a public Galnet killboa...

Oh dear. Sad

You didn't fit any tank on The Nawn, did you?

I'm sorry, your message came in broken through my NEOCOM. Was there anything I can assist you with or do you have any information regarding something in my public record?

Seems as if there is an error filing it publicly.

Our definitions would differ, so I am forced to agree. Moitte.

I was just commenting on the report of your Mackinaw loss I saw on a public Galnet killboard, in that you failed to tank it.
You can't assist me with this, but you could assist yourself in future by providing adequate defences for your mining fleet.

And besides, mining is work for peasants and thralls, not Admirals!

I like those peasants and thralls. Spending hours upon hours staring at rocks dwindling in the solar glare, so I can pay them a pittance and turn their weeks of hard work into a decent profit. For me. The amazing thing is that some of these people actually do this as a living, months and years on end. Once I'd chewed enough rocks to set up a manufacturing operation I docked everything that could hold a mining laser and left them all under tarps and... and...

... oh.

I may need to send someone to see if those crews was ever dismissed or if that hangar has now descended into some sort of cannibalistic orgy of survivalist cultism, occasionally raiding the station interior for the glory of the God Employer of the Belt Empires.

I used to do missions of out Dodixie, and after a while, I ended up with a collection of Angel personnel about 200 strong. Local law enforcement said they'd love to deal with them, but it was outside their jurisdiction, and every CONCORD official I talked to about them gave me some variation on "too busy, ask someone else." Consequently, they just ended up moping about my hangar. I guess I could have let them starve to death or die of thirst or disease, but that sort of didn't feel right, so I dumped some basic habitation modules in the hangar and just kind of let them live there.

They came with me when I moved my mission ship to a different system to work for another corporation. They're still there, as far as I know, since CONCORD still refuses to come and pick them up and nowadays I'm not even in the same system I originally picked most of them up in, and as a matter of fact the statue of limitations on some of the crimes they're wanted for has run out. But now none of them seem to particularly want to leave. I guess living in a capsuleer's hangar bay with most of your ammenities provided for you is actually a more comfortable life than being part of a starship crew sent against capsuleers?
