Ahh...So many of the HTFU regulars dripping tears.
Why not HTFU and deal with it, I love the new tooltips. Great work CCP :)

I've... seen things you people wouldn't believe...  Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched c-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those... moments... will be lost in time, like  tears... in... rain. Time... to die...

Hate them. They are redundant and ridiculous. Lose them CCP.

Both the action wheel and the stupid pop ups need to have a disable option.

My favorite tooltip is the one over our shield/armor/structure. EXACT numbers shown and not just approximations. Though... perhaps the tooltips for everything else could be less obvious -- i.e. more a flourish rather than stating the obvious. (?) Lets also make them optional. Ladies love options.

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear.

+1

My 2nd monitor runs on lowish resolution (1024x760). The black bar taking up half my ******* screen everytime i accidently leave my mouse somewhere for to long is enfuriating. Please give an option to disable these things. Also +1 for disabling the radial menu but i doubt that would happen as the UI guys and gals seemed to have a large collective erection over radial menus and touch screen integration. *Facepalms*.

CCP, thank you for all your hard work.

I would just like to say that the tool-tips seem to mean well, but have only made the game more difficult for me. They are another obstacle to exploration - rather than a tool - and I would like the ability to turn them off as soon as possible.

They are so bad, I was actually surprised there was no option to disable them in the ESC menu.

Please give us this option, because I am not exaggerating when I say they just about break the game.

Thanks again.

As for me - the major problem are only the tooltips for objects in space - such as cans or enemies.
Why not just use the old tooltips style for those objects - or make an option in overview-settings allowing us to switch back to the "simple" tooltips for objects in space.
The other tooltips at the sidebar or hud are nice.

Tooltips, action wheel and the scan after every jump, all need an off option tbh.

Good luck getting them.

Because some giant hovering popup blocks anything within a 2x0.5 inch radius around it.

Targeting is broken, everything has a delay because of the animation. This is bad.

Have you tried to manually warp to a group of celestials ? MR giant hovering popup block will get your ship killed pretty quick

Just having an option to turn them off wouldn't be enough, as that would leave us without tooltips at all; in other words, we'd be in a worse position that we were last week.

What we need is for the previous tooltips to be restored until such time as the new ones are fixed, with the previous font being used, with station owners being displayed (instead of just "Station"), the huge black boxes removed, and additional text only given space on the screen if it's useful, not to repeat what's already there, or to state the obvious.

This has to be one of the most irritating experiences in this game now. Seriously - I do not like fighting with the UI all the time.

I also think some kind of options to disable them is needed, but it is a good addition, and I hope that in the future CCP adds more than just duplicated information on them.
For example, being able to choose some of the overview column content and set them to be visible or not in tooltips would be great. if all the content is unchecked, then the tool tip simply does not show up for overview's content.

As i haven't seen a fix or change related to the new tool tips in the last few days, I will add my thoughts to help further the fix.

As exploration is my primary isk generating activity, it is now also the most painful activity. I can no longer hover over a floating can with my mouse ready to click on it because a huge useless none floating with the can pop-up appears. This adds multiple steps to retrieving items from data and relic sites.

The current solution of move mouse, click in space, wait for pop-up to close, hover over next can, move mouse, click in space, wait for pop-up to close, hover over next can.... times the number of cans has pretty much removed the best EVE experience for me, exploration.

Other than that, i will probably get over the other issues i have with them, but, if you could add a delay to the pop-up, that would be great too, like maybe up to a one hour delay.

Thanks for taking the time regarding my concern.

The current tooltips are bad, no doubt about that. What you "explorers" all have been missing is that the scatter crap is going away in 2 weeks or so.

And what you seem to be missing is that it's indicative of just how little thought was put into the entirety of these changes, if they can break an entire game mechanic without realizing it, only to go "whoops".

It shows in plenty of places besides just ruining any attempts at exploration for the next two weeks. That's just the most obvious one.
