TDSIN VS TLC a "battle" report

we had a good time last night and thought the story would be entertaining.

Yesterday evening ( US evening) a group of TDSIN guys went out to gank a mining fleet in a null a couple down our chain, and in the midst of celebrating our mundane gank on some afk nullbears one of the guys suddenly reported he was tackled by a t3 fleet that had suddenly landed on the wormhole, being alone since he was lagging behind the bulk of the fleet he was quickly dispatched and podded.

Some of the fleet began to double back to help him before realizing it was too late and they were outgunned by the properly assembled t3 fleet of TLC. As the FC began calling for everyone to assemble in t3s and get more logi one of our logis reported hed been caught on our static since he has originally u-turned to save the now dead loki pilot. Teamspeak exploded with a hurried flurry of debates to either rush to save him, or to let him die since our fleet wasnt assembled. The snap decision ws made to throw the fleet at him with a triage nidhoggur as backup, knowing that should their fleet swell beyond ours capabilities we could at least keep cap blobbing them if need be.

Landed quickly we rescued the caught guardian just as he was hitting hull, and the rest of their fleet was landing we had a brief skirmish before they began retreating into our static, the wormhole hit half mass prompting the FC to hesitate pursuing, worrying that they had just jumped a cap over and may be planning on trapping our fleet in the static. Whiel this was going on we mopped up a couple of their stragglers who had been caught too far off the wormhole to jump.

Finally after 30 seconds passed and no capital uncloaked we jumped into the static and dropped probes hoping to find where they had run off to. Their fleet was still visible on D scan and we quickly pinpointed the new sig since our last scan, after landing and confirming it was them our FC fleet warped ours to meet them onto their home WH. A scout jumping over reported that they had several battleships and a archon waiting for us on the other side. After another quick skirmish their entire flet retreated into their home and we had to decide whether or not we wanted to pursue into their home system.

After a quick peek at our fleet, the FC decided we had the numbers we just needed to reship, so our fleet moved back to our home wormhole while we reshipped for some extra jams and neut power. Knowing getting cap blobbed was likely, we hoped our preperations would give us at least a shot at lasting against their pantheon carriers. Finally, we prepped a moros to go all in ( "balls deep") and readied the fleet with extar probes knowing wed be rolled out of our chain.

With everyone accounted for we jumped the moros, closing our home wormhole and aligned to TLC's home system. Teamspeak was full of excitement, many of us knew it was quite possible wed die in a glorious fire, but as long as it was a good fight no one really cared.

The FC initiated warp and we began our warp into the blaze, watching our fleet land onto the wormhole you could tell everyone was nervous and excited at the same time was the FC called to approach the wormhole and prepare to jump en masse.

And thats when the TLC archon uncloaked and jumped back putting the wormhole on the verge of its collapse.

You seem surprised they rolled.

TLC litterly do not fight in fleet fights unless they can drop multiple carriers in their home system or get an easy gank.

We had them in our chain last night too, it may have been our fault Scary WH peeps' stuff got ganked.

... Found TLC's C6 as a static from a C5 in our chain, full of gas and relics we planned on running later, saw a ******* gobton of caps, t3s etc on scan. Along with 4 tractor units and wrecks that made my scanner lag.

Warped around, bookmarked the tractors that were sat in still active anoms, pulled our couple guys together to go steal their blue loot as they continued to rat, no sign of probes to scope out their new sig, nothing. We have nowhere near enough peeps to **** with what they had in space so theft it was.

On the way, bringing up the rear I got landed on by a huginn, mega and loki from WHEN, took some hits while the rest of the guys turned around, polarised myself, and got webbed/scrammed by the rest of WHEN's fleet and popped before help arrived.

WHEN left, so we reshipped again to go see if we could still salvage something from TLCs hole, managed to get a bill worth of blue loot blapped, half of it made it's way into our cargo holds and we bugged the hell out.

So far so normal. But apparently the TLC rage at our theft knows no bounds. They chased us out their hole, even sending two hics plus assorted inties to catch our helios as it jumped out. Then made several threats on our continued well being.

We ran, made it home without a tail, by which point WHEN looked ready to rumble again so we both threw down at our static (we loved you guys before, even more so now). During the pew, as we were in the middle of rolling our static to make sure TLC didn't immediately find us and begin caging our POSes, WHEN threw their remaining fleet into our home C2 collapsing it with most of TFP on the wrong side. As luck would have it our only k-space was through the C5 that connected to TLC. It was still swarming with their scouts, caps, probes et al when we came through with T3's and BS and they then chased us halfway across the cluster hoping we'd lead them to our home conx.

No such luck for them - yet.

TLDR: We have mortally upset TLC for taking a bill of their multple cap escalation loot, mainly because they either decided we weren't a threat, or all ~30 of them online weren't watching their carebear scanner for new sigs for about 40 minutes. We interrupted their ratting and got them riled up enough to go pew SWP....perhaps.

TLC fights every now and then. They (compared to all of you claiming they never fight unless xyz) have even knocked on our doorstep in Polaris asking for a straight up brawl in our prime time. Which one of you have? P

Ah, I remember when we bumped into your guys' new home system.

We reinforced a tower, from memory, but nobody would fight us as you were still moving in.

Sounds like you've settled in now? Big smile

Hello fellow WH pilots...

TLC not fighting? Weird, since I have been a member of TLC for a long time and have not found that to be the case.

TLC not fighting unless we have met a specific set of pre engagement guidelines that weigh heavily in our favor? Also weird as we frequently hunt the chain in smaller gangs and our members are always looking for any PVP we can find. In many cases we take on fights where we know we are or may be overmatched depending on what arrives on grid and how the fight pans out. Sometimes we pay the price for that too.

Are we careful? Of course we are! As are many of you - but not all of you - as our killboards show :) Also, as I am sure most of you will agree... It is only the noobish or careless WH fleet who takes on a fight without a well scouted chain and the appropriate intel.

Do we roll our hole and or pass on fights at times. Yes of course we do, and there are many reasons why we (or any other corp) may decide to pass on a fight. Also, there have been many times we have seen other corps roll out of fights with us as well. The difference being that we understand that it is part of life in a WH and that it doesnt warrant a forum post for us. Instead we fire our probes and scan down the new sig. Mmmmmm - new chain = new PVP opportunities!

Good luck to everyone and thanks for mentioning us on the forums! See you in space.

Considering that it was your home hole, with several archons on grid, versus our one moros and T3 fleet, I'd say you guys werent being careful, but....how can I put it...it's a p word...

Like I said there are many reasons a hole gets rolled... Anyone who has spent any amount of time in a WH corp knows that. It sucks, but sometimes a good fleet has to be put to bed because pilots log off for the day, RL events get in the way or other things happen and rolling the chain is the best thing to do regardless of what is currently on grid. Im sure we can fight again in the future.

If you have blue balls try the following:
1. Move out of your moms basement
2. Take a shower
3. Interact more with female humans

armed1 this wasnt intended to be a serious attack on you, it was in good jest. You trying to defend yourselves only makes it look sillier. But regardless of why you think you rolled it, or how gloriously justified you were in doing so, a simple convo letting us know that you couldnt/didnt want to play would have been infinitely more polite than slamming it in our face. especially after we already rolled ourselves out to have a fight with you.

You seem to think my tone wasnt friendly? Maybe it is my saracastic sense of humor that makes it seem that way. However, my responses are all good natured and I am only jesting back... Thus the blue balls comment lol.

As far as slamming the door - oh well stuff happens... Keep rolling!
