thx, exactly what ithought it would look like, sorry if i missed this, but did you check your path to the eve server, and if at some point, one hop is having massive packet loss? (could be interesting to do while playing eve and look right after you encounter the issue).

you could use pingplotter wich is easier to manage and see issues on long runs

Pingplotter is a high level tool. It tells you the congestion state and route it took. Good for quick peeks.
That won't help solving this mystery.

As I'd mention before, port 3724 worked flawlessly. Zero socket issues as of this post. Stable for hours with normal play.
It's pointing to some sort of traffic shaping or possible underlying CCP network client code or some other code issues* that fails under specific conditions. Proving the the former is almost impossible/very difficult unless CCP cooperates by giving its customers a proper tool to test against its server. This prob won't go away as more and more networks implement stringent QoS shaping. The latter is debugging territory.

I'll let it stew for a while until I can isolate the PC out.

* what resources does the client load after you press the character selection? what requests does it make?
what would happen if loading a resource non-fatally set it into a wait loop ... would it disconnect and show a socket error? ...... etc.

i'm having such issue only once after i log in first time in eve, in 100% the socketclosing will happen on all my clients, but after i restart the client, everything is fine and no more socket closes happen untill another downtime

Todays patch has introduced socket errors for me, I run 5 clients and had no issues up until today (had issues in the past but they stopped) what ever was introduced today is causing socket closures

just lost 2 ships to client weirdness, had dinner came back and 2 of my clients were podded, an other well outside pos shields. (other 2 were socket disconnected errors) all ships were in a pos, I've never had any issues before, not until this last patch.

while i am willing to concede that it looks like i mis-clicked and this caused my ships to move outside the pos, after i warped the last of my ships back to the pos, it started to move away from the pos again.

so much weirdness that I never encountered until today's patch.

since the kronos patch I keep getting sockets closed. Didnt change anything, why this is happening? I can't play like this, everithing run fine here, the only problem is with eve...

Same problem. I was playing two accounts. Socket was closed on one account and then socket was closed on the other account a couple of minutes later. Very probably it is a server-side issue. Like some script goes through all the accounts one by one and cuts their connection with the server. Maybe it is a way to apply some hotfixes without waiting till the scheduled maintenance time.

GA checking in with this exactly, every 15-20 minutes, only Since Kronos. Eve only game having problem. there are currently 2 WoWs running and Guild wars + my 2 eve accounts, which has been normal Traffic for years on Saturday in my house.

But we will all get the same, "it's not a ccp problem! Did you try turning it off and on?"

I haven't had a socket closed error in years, until Kronos. Now I have at least one per day on every account.

First time in YEARS... and now, since the glorious advent of KRONOS, I'm getting "socket closed" disconnects three and four times in an hour... per account.

CCP... time to hire back some of the technical people you airlocked over the years... clearly, all is not working as intended.

I am having this same problem. It is absolutely crushing my will to play this game as I can't do any pvp/ pve or much else for that matter, for fear of disconnecting and losing my ship(s)

I am more than disappointed by CCPs apparent lack of acknowledgement/ support regarding this crippling issue
