both can ...

Anyway forget all my real-"life" references as they are not really healthy for "live" itself.

Oh gee, a two word response. That certainly proves incursions can be botted.

Question ?

Sansha are VI? correct...
So bot is another VI ? right ?

So if one can be done, so can the other.

Sure it is not happening, or not that i know. But its possible.

@Akita T

You got me there.

Still i tried to group up with several people and the outcome was always worse then me doing it alone with an noctis alt.

Incursions. .. fair enough .

And in the end its totally irrelevant because as long as you enjoy "feature" its fine. If you dont enjoy it then you skip and move forward, but that doesnt make said "feature" useless...

Only thing that matters is you enjoying the game, nothing more nothing less. If you cant then you should take an break.

disclaimer : my alt actually got near perfect mining/industry/science skills. And i mined since i was able to get in retriever.
It made me enough isk to buy an charon in first month of mining.

Yeah its good how the OP hasn't made another comment.

After I read a thread on here about how highsec miners should be ganked cause they're bots or wannabe bots. I went out and mined for a few hours, just for the fun of it. Made about 90m in the time I spent mining. It surprised me a bit cause I wasn't expecting to get that much. Haven't mined for awhile, I've lost touch with how much you can make. My point, though, is that the OP said what's the point of starting an indy corp in EVE. Well mining is only a small part of the industry in EVE. Other parts of industry can make plenty of isk as well. Unless people lose lots of isk when they make and sell capital ships. I don't know what the problem is.

Rookie ships do have mining lasers on them. Mining is how I made my first million (not with a rookie ship tho). It's okay when starting, to mine a little, if you aren't in a corp and just getting used to things. It can get you enough to buy ships and skills in the beginning.

Back in the day Tritanium was held low artificially at ~2.3 ISK a piece (thanks to NPC-sold reprocessable goodies, and some of the other lowends having similar limitations) and the mineral basket was held artificially high by the insurance payout, 0.0 mining was worth something, but now that Tritanium is free-floating and insurances have been lowered 30% or more...

Here is some sage advice I learned from an ancient hermit that lives on top of a mountain and it will blow your f*cking mind away!

Don't mine in a hulk!

BAM! Done deal bro, solves you complaint and you know that it sucks. Mining has one aspect, put your ass out on a grid like a goat tied to a peg and wait to be shot up by some tool looking for a virtual fellatio to bloat his mental ego/**** cause it takes zero effort to kill a hulk (really, YOU CAN'T ******* LOSE! Its like hulk buster = mission runner, but the hulk buster is a loud assed bragger and missions runners are the quite ones).

You choose to continue to mine (and god I would love to see everyone quit right at hulkageddon, would ruin the entire ******* thing but it would never happen), you can't ***** about it. You have the option to shut up and continue your crappy "career" or nut up and go do incursions, trade, industry, missions ect ANYTHING but mining which makes way more..

How come mining is such a waste of time, compared to the new incursion encounters?

Because it's low effort, (usually) low risk, next to no thinking required, and the skill barrier to entry is also pretty darn low.
Huge supply, moderate demand = rock-bottoming prices.
All of that combined makes mining basically voluntary slave labor.
Pursue at your own soul-sucking peril.

P.S. Ice mining is even worse than ore mining.

lol clearly you're not doing it right........

The entry level might be lower but the amount of time it takes to train to get good at it is the same as any other profession.

I make 400 million an hour mining no problem. I think the OP should try harder.

Although Akita it right on some point i think she underestimates the potential of mining, as does all of new eden.

Suck it up already. Seriously. Even if you had any valid points for your whine, which you don't, it's a pointless argument. Nothing positive will come of it and you won't change anyone's mind about mining or miners. Are you new here or something? Have you not seen all of the other threads in existence? Here are some helpful tips:

A) Train the skills to do something else - Lots of ways to make better ISK

B) Continue mining and STFU - Do something more with your minerals/ore than just right-click > sell. There are guides out there too, although clearly someone has published one somewhere that promotes delusions of grandeur that the mining profession is a free ticket to instant trillions.

Please do not advocate breaking the EULA. Spitfire

D) Leave - That's right, quit. The people that put up those buy orders for you minerals/ore don't care where they came from. Someone else, or their bot, will supply them. You obviously subscribe to the EVE Online Forum Creed, "The sky is falling!" ("Everyone should play my way!!!" is my personal favorite though.) There are two types of EVE, the one you see when you log in and then the forum version of EVE. In my opinion, it's clear which version you're playing.

If CCP says gun mining is fine, so be it, let them have their minerals. If CCP announces monday that they are removing industry as a whole, (or just mining) I'd be fine with that too. Obsessing over what other people do in the game would be a terrible way for me to spend my time.

You, too, can be a Solid Gold dancer.

I sometimes mine in my retriever, I was actually training for a Hulk until I started running incursions. Mining obviously isn't great, but I will mine whilst just reading stuff online or watching a movie. It requires absolutely minimal attention - clicking my mouse and dragging ore into a container once every three minutes, and then a few minutes of hauling every few hours. It makes me some minerals which I plan to horde and eventually use on my industry production alt.

I expect that sometime in the future mining as a whole will be looked at by CCP, especially considering how much this expansion brought.

Who told you hundreds of millions/hour?
That is a gross understatement.

Last time I ran Incusrions was for about 5 hours, and I made enough to buy out MM's entire supercap fleet, with all officer fittings.
I am making at least 800 billion/hour in Incursions.

I have heard about people in the really good fleets running Incursions for a day and then RMT'ing the proceeds to buy a house.

How about when someone makes an inane comment with wild inaccuracies, it is OK to fling them back with even wilder inaccuracies to make them look ludicrous?

PvP is same as shooting rats, you click at red cross and press the button Cool
nothing to see there really.

You clearly don't PvP.

Players don't appear as red crosses and if all you do is 'press a button' then all your doing is ganking a miner, or in an alpha fleet.

Now, more than ever, we need a dislike button.

You play your game and I play mine. After all, we pay the same subscription fees. (In most cases.)

I don't care about your game at all. Tried some of it. Found it BOOOOOORING.

But now, frankly, there isn't anything you can do to affect me. ( Except forum warfare)

So why don't you go someplace quiet and dark and have sex with yourself?

Very simply, because people insist on doing it even for minimal profits. As long as there is a significant number of people who will mine at 20M/hour, the market price of minerals will be dictated by these people. If, instead of bashing their heads against the wall and crying on the forums, the dissatisfied miners said "screw this, I'm going to run missions instead", the market forces would quickly bring the prices of minerals back up.

The player-driven economy to some degree depends on people acting logically and doing what makes them earn money most efficiently. If this was the case with everybody, all activities would be (roughly) equally profitable.

Some of us don't LIKE to run missions.

Some of us don't LIKE to do incursions.

Some of us don't WANT to be griefers.

If you aren't happy with that, why don't you quit the game?

NO. I don't want whatever rags and tidbits you might have.
