I have a problem with the way my killmails show up, like these:

Implants fitted in highslot of pod:
https://zkillboard.com/kill/22128407/

OR ship that was fitted shows as unfitted but modules appear like in corporate hangar (of battleship):
https://zkillboard.com/kill/21559427/

Will you parse through killmails again or this is permanent?

The implants are figured out on the fly since its all pretty simple and an implant can only fit into one slot anyway. CCP doesn't provide any information on where they actually were except that they were plugged into your head.

For these older killmails, the fitting on your ship, however, just says this stuff was with your ship. It doesn't say whether it was fit or not, or in what order they were fit, etc. We've purposely left code that decides all of that information out because it is complicated and error prone, and!, newer killmails include the information for said layouts.

Ah, i hoped you will create some bot to go through old mails and correct them so they are shown like on other (older) kill boards. I know that before you needed "special" code that had lsit of items and where they fit and then it assigned which module was for highslot, which for low etc.
Ah well, zkillboard offers a lot of unique info so all good.

Hi,

While making a website I thought it would be cool to be able to display somewhere my corporation stats for the month. (Kills and Losses, by numbers of ships destroyed, and by isk destroyed)

Surely I thought, zkillboard API will have an easy way to pull the data since its already displayed in the corporation killboard in the banner.

But I have troubles finding such endpoint, and fear that the only way to get these monthly stats would be to parse the whole Json for the month and do the calculation again myself.

Since you already have the monthly stats calculated, and if I'm right about the fact that there is no way to have these informations through your API currently that doesn't implies recalculating them, is it something that we could expect to see in the near future? An endpoint containing basic statistics by month for characters / corps / alliances.

Thank you for your time, and keep up the good work :) ZKB best KB.

Why there is no way to advance through kills in a daily basis? where has the button gone?

zKillboard never had a button like that. You may be thinking of an early version of killwhore that had that functionality. It turned out to be a really bad idea for entities with dozens of kills per day.

With "on a daily basis" I ment that you were able to advance through days of the month on each separate part of the killboard (losses, solo...) and it's gone. I used to check fittings of people in losses til a few days ago and now, before the database fk up, I can't.

I'm using FF29 (>.<) and the top drop down menus "Kills" and "Top/Rank" don't extend anymore when I mouse over/click on them (with and without active adblocker, with and without whitelisting the page with Ghostery). It works more or less fine on IE10. Is it just me?

I like the look of zKB, it's more modern and easy to digest for me.

I've been having a couple of probably related issues. I put in character and corp API keys with public killlog access, but some of my characters show the wrong corp on their killboard page (old corp) and the corp is listed as "Corporation 123456" on it's page and on the account API key page rather than by the name. Is there something in the API key I need to enable to update those? I did enable public character info on the API key for my characters now, but I am not sure that will help. Thanks!

These chars/corp probably just haven't been updated (and might be updated soon, depending).

Can you link them and I'll check into them?

Why are there two different numbers for kills when I click on my alliance overview and top tab? In our corp on top there is a player above me with 624 kills and I am at 232, when you go to overview it shows I am ahead 132 to 110. I'd just like to know what is happening, thanks.

You make a valid point, good Sir or Madam.

Im pretty sure the overview is showing stats from the last 7 days whereas the top tab shows monthly.

Howling wind is correct. Overview, 7 days (even says it at the bottom of the right column). Top is stats per month.

Hey Man,

I love zKillboard. It is awesome and much appreciated.

I had a quick question about the kill count. It has uploaded all my kill mails from the start of July, but the number of destroyed has not increased by this amount. I should be at about 522, it is sitting at 504 destroyed; but the kill mails are indeed posted in the list below.

I was curious if there is a lag or if something occurred at start of July?

Thanks again!

I'm running a zkb install at http://kb.eve-volt.net/

It's set up to pull all VOLT related killmails from zkillboard.com. This seemed to be workign fine at first, and I havea nice set of very old killmails.

Unfortunately, by some epicly bad timing, it was doing the initial pull at the time the zkillboard.com database borked and had to be restored from backup.

The import never completed properly and the board is missing about 57000 killmails.

Is there a good way of fixing this problem? (it is pulling new kills fine, btw)

Is pulling so many kills even supported? (I assume it is, since the feature is there and very easy to use...)

I am ok with resetting the whole db if needed, but am not entirely sure how/where the information that we've pulled these kills already is stored.

Thanks,

-Ortho

Hrmph, you're right, I just did the query straight against the database and your count is off. I'll poke around and see what the deal is...

Edit: found the issue, upgrading from PHP 5.4 to 5.5 broke some features of the stats processing and it was only processing 1 a minute (instead of a few hundred). Once I fixed up the issue the 16k backlog got processed rather quickly.

No need to reset your whole database. Execute this command in your database to reset the feed

Quote:
delete from zz_users_config where content like 'feed%lastKillTime';

This will reset the feeds to start fetching from the beginning.

Also, I should add something to make sure admins can do this easily. Surprised I never thought of it before now :)
