saw people buying these for 50 mil last night and seems like people are fighting to get rid of them for 30 mil.

there is a blueprint in the database but it doesn't list materials.

Anyone have any good guesses about this?

I don't think they are a good investment. There will be more supply if we manage to unlock it - and I'd say it's very likely that this will happen. And I'm not so sure about the demand. In many situations it might be wiser to use much cheaper drones and accept that they are not exactly as good.

Check the price history curve on the gnosis.

I should buy an Ishtar.

Be interesting to see how much use they get, before making any sizeable investment in them beyond the "novelty" appeal of having a dozen or two in one's hangar.

If they become part of some fabulously "L33T" fleet fit doctrine, then they'll gain some value.

With a dozen of these going to each active account the market should have a bunch of these in a week for far less. CCP also have not stated that this is an exclusive. If not I wouldn't be too surprised if there were more drones of this super heavy class eventually added. At 50m you would probably be better off investing in Leopards.

On MD, sometimes you forget your 1 account is actually 4 accounts.

Each account will probably wind up with 11 of them, so they will be everywhere.

I would bet ISK that they end up in the Guristas Loyalty Point store before the year is out. I would not be buying them......

When they were just released you could easily put in a buy order for 50 and resell them the same hour, but the Gecko Mania ended in less than 24 hours.

As of today they are already down > 70% since their release. You might want to buy a few if you intend to use them, but I think it's not an item you want to hold on to. I'm keeping one, just for the Gordon Gecko reference.

I suspect the Geckos will be treated like the CA-1 & CA-2 implants in that every now and then CCP will release a bunch, This should make for an excellent trading opportunity buying now(or in the very near future) and selling just prior to any future patch where more might be released.

One thing that drives demand on the Genolution 1-2 implants that won't apply here is that a lot of bad players have a false sense of invulnerability about their pod in highsec and lowsec. But even bad players consider drones consumables.

As such I expect to see these used (and thus destroyed) less than Genolution 1-2.

Edit: Unless a major fleet doctrine around them develops. I hear Geckos are silly good in close range carriers.

We're talking about drones here. People leave drones behind all the time and drones are constantly being destroyed on accident. I don't see how by any stretch of the imagination one couldn't imagine these being lost by the hundreds every single day.
