So, am I now officially a bittervet?

It took quite a few years, but I believe that now I and many others can now join the club the exclusive club of "Bittervets" following our survival of Monocle-gate, the largest Eve disaster since perhaps T-20 (Which I previously missed and/or didn't understand at the time.).

I would like to take the time to thank everyone who made this possible:

CCP.

My family.

My wallet.

Plexes.

and John Turbefield.

Without all of you, I wouldn't be where I am today.

I think you were already a bittervet since before the "occupy Jita" incident, you just didn't realize it yet ;)
I am only a sweet-and-sour vet.

A critical characteristic of bitter vets is that they don't believe (and vehemently deny) they're bitter vets. So no, you are not a bitter vet. Not quite there yet Pirate.

Q1. Over the last 2 years all isk has been recieve via Wormhole space and/or Photoshop projects made for people.

Q2. Absolution, used it for wormhole pvp, w-space sites, pretty much everything w-space related. Pilgrim comes in at a VERY close second.

Q3. Archon (have @ 5), W-Space.

Q4. Pre-Incarna, 8. Post-Incarna, 4.

Q5. I don't know anymore.

Q6. I roam alone, because I'm too lazy to log on my alt.

Q7. Never, I just ran both accounts with pex for 7 months because I couldn't be bothered to use RL money anymore. However, I'm now using RL money again.

Q8. Was CEO of an 8 man w-space corp for 2 years, now joined a "faceless" large'ish wormhole corp with tons of members so I can not login for extended periods of time and fly under the radar.

Q9. Probably 50-100 billion isk.

Q10. 4 days ago, unless being AFK with fighters assigned on someone blowing up a customs office doesn't count. Which in that case means about a week ago.

It depends.

I'm not aware of any officially designated threshold of duration in EVE beyond which you become a Vet. Some would say it's more a state of mind, when you feel like you're on top of the game rather than the other way around. Others, including myself, would say it's when you've reached the point of deeply sighing, shrugging your shoulders and emo-raging when CCP nerf something yet again... but you keep on playing.

Bitterness is something you go in and out of, depending on what kind of day you're having... it is not a permanent state of mind for most (though it seems to be for a minority).

Am I a vet? Yes.

Am I bitter? Sometimes, but not today. Lol

Have a nice day...

Look into my eyes...   and tighten that sphincter, kid.

Rating 1. 1 point for the Photoshops (Not actually playing EVE)
Rating 2. 0 points, as it is not ludicrously expensive and is being used
R3. 1 point for owning a cap
R4. 1 point for disliking CCP somewhat
R5. 2 points for not even knowing what's on your skill queue
R6. 0 points for solo roaming actually solo
R7. 0 points for not unsubbing
R8. 1 point for being a CEO
R9. 2 points for defining 50-100bil as being a lot of ISK
R10. 1 points for not spending extended periods of time logged on

TOTAL SCORE: 10/22
You are 45% bittervet. You still have much to learn.

Here are some sample 'optimal bittervet' answers:
A1. I earn ISK by creating Jita scam contracts (1) and collecting corp tax for myself (1)
A2. My favourite subcap is a deadspace fit Mach/Bhaal/Vindi (1). I don't fly it or undock, all I do is spin (2)
A3. My favourite cap is [supercarrier/titan] (2).
A4. CCP get a 0. (2) (Note: Yes, the question asked between 1 and 10)
A5. Don't know/capital related skill to V. (2)
A6. I solo roam with a Falcon (1), off-grid T3 fleet booster (1) and Dramiel tackle/scout (1)
A7. I'm currently unsubbed and are waiting for my subscription to expire by posting on the forums (2)
A8. I'm currently a CEO (1) and leader of a major nullsec alliance (1).
A9. 50 bil + is a lot of ISK (2)
A10. I only ever log on to change my month+ long skill queue. (1) I don't even remember. (1)

Let's go through your answers:

1. Either harvesting your own moon, T2 BPOs or other passive but lucrative means.

2. Eh, should really be some pimped out "solo" ship.

3. Should be a supercap.

4. -2

5. Good answer. Other acceptabe answers are JDC V, Doomsday V and other long skills so you don't have to log in often.

6. Should at least be two alts: a Falcon and RR

7. You should have unsubbed at least your alt accounts at some point, and possibly your main once or twice.

8. "Position" is misleading. You want to have held a position in the past, but now be retired from it, but still have all your roles/a say in alliance politics.

9.50-100b? You're off by a power of ten. ~500b - 1T is acceptable.

10. Excluding logging on to test out the patch, should be at least a couple months.

I know it wasn't for me but I couldn't help not answering.

1. I keep what I kill in Null. I gank haulers in Niarja. I scam pubbies.
2. Loki. Killing what ever comes in range of my webs.
3. Cap? I don't like caps anymore. Used to fly a Nyx but got tired of a toon that I couldn't do anything else with.
4. 4-5 but this latest expansion has been helping to raise it up.
5. Depends on the toon. But main is FC 5.
6. I don't bring alts on roams. Either by myself or with alliance/corp/friends.
7. Twice.
8. Peon in my corp but at my choice. Been in the leadership spot, not interested again. FC in alliance fleets.
9. Like 300B ISK.
10. I actually am logged in quite often when I'm not playing Skyrim. Mostly to teach noobs about how to kill things. Or trying to make someone's life a living Hell.

You just have to have a healthy distrust of anything which comes from CCP and an infinite pool of hatred that can be tapped at any moment for them and to be a veteran about it CCP must have harmed you personally in someway at least a few times.

"Hey look, Sader is enjoying her toy, look guys, lets ******* break it and ban her for a few days for good measure. Haha."

"One of my alts is in such and such alliance, they are so excited on coms, wait what's this plug, OOPS! server rebooting."

"Hmm, my logs clearly show that this guy lost his Nyx due to a glitch, but paperwork, eh ... the effort. [delete] the logs show nothing. I feel better now Blink ugh that was stressful for a moment."

Typical CCP stuff

If you have to ask, you're not allowed into the club.

Secret to the club is move your clone into the club first, then go through the club gate, cause when you get popped at the gate, you magicly arrive in the club. Lots of new bittervets hang out at the gate for some reason, boredom I suppose.

Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom. It is the argument of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves.  - William Pitt

Q1. How do you earn ISK?
Mostly patch-related market speculation.
WITH OTHER PEOPLE'S MONEY. Which I pay back with interest though.
But I have more than I can use so I don't bother making much anymore.
Not for nearly 2 years now.

Q2. What is your favourite subcap, and what do you do with it?
Och, too many to choose from, but I don't do much nowadays. Used to be the Nighthawk back when I was still helping corp members do some missions, but nowadays it's probably the Cheetah. Awesome for AFK and semi-AFK travel.
Not that I undock that often at all anyway.

Q3. What is your favourite cap, and what do you do with it?
None, even if I can fly quite a few. I haven't been out of highsec in ages.
Never owned a cap on TQ. Not even a freighter. Heck, I only ever owned a single battleship on TQ (still have that Dominix in my hangar).
I fly battlecruisers or below almost always.

Q4. Rate CCP on a scale of 1-10.
Overall ? Today ? About 8-ish.
Varied between 5 and 9 in time.

Q5. What's on your skill queue?
Long skills preparing for more skills or even longer skills, neither of which I'm likely to use any time soon.
Capital Ships L4 right now. L5 is saved for when I'll go on some vacation time or have a larger project coming up in RL.

Q6. How many alts do you bring on a so-called 'solo' roam? What are these alts?
I don't roam. And I seldom bother multiboxing. And when I used to solo roam, it was really solo. But it was usually with a couple of friends, no alts, everybody with only 1 account each.

Q7. How many times have you unsubbed in the last year?
Intentionally ? Never unsubbed my main intentionally.
Abandoned a few alt accounts (after selling the char) though. Not in the past 2 years.

Q8. What's your position in your current corporation? (CEO, FC, etc)
CEO. For the past 5 years, 2 months and 4 days as of today.

Q9. What do you define as being a lot of ISK?
I have over 200 bil ISK liquid and more than double of that including other people's debts to me, assets and such.
But I would say anything above 10 bil ISK is "a lot".
On the other hand, not even 100 bil ISK is really THAT much.

Q10. When was the last time you were logged on for over 10 minutes?
Yesterday, I think.
Not that I do anything, but just briefly dropping in usually lasts more than 15 minutes.
Except when I'm really, really in a hurry to just swap skills and don't even have the time to say hello to those online nor gawk at the market graphs or anything like that.
Not that I do much more than that (skillchange, marketgawk, chat) anyway.
