Wow, looking but can't see it anywhere?

Yes! I can already see its a stack of 55 tracking range scripts!! I don't need this tool tip popping up and telling me, it's already there on the item, as i scroll through my stores!! There's not even a delay, its like BANG HUGE WALL OF TEXT HITS YOU IN THE FACE, Crits you for 500, you die!!

While typing this, i've just noticed that the pop actually reduces fps too, that's going to be great during combat...

Remember that talking paper clip from MsWord, this is like that, but MORE annoying....

...and they wonder why people don't vote for csm's

I can bear with being provided useless information, but the fact that they now take a delay before appearing is really ruining the gameplay for me.

Delay = More Deaths in PVP = Good for Goons.

In all seriousness, change the in space brackets back to normal ffs. I don't need a tooltip on my overview telling me it's a stargate. I've been playing 8 years, I know what a ******* stargate icon is.

This is the most invasive and annoying thing changed in the game in a long time.

While I'm fully aware you were using a hefty amount of sarcasm, I should point out that helping new players by irrevocably pissing off everyone else is only a good idea to people like Ripard Teg.

The overview tooltips are pretty useless. I mean, the overview allready tells you everything you need to know and you can even customize that thing Roll

Use SiSi to implement changes like this before dumping them in our laps please, CCP.

That is what SiSi is for.. not just so people can burn down free boats.

The tooltips pop up where you don´t want them to.. with information you don´t need.

Please code in an option to to disable them.. and just plain disable them until that is possible.

It's not even helping.

It would be helping if things were informative once.
Twice.

If there are constant signs and manuals of what things mean,
or how things work,
people will simply stop remembering them and stop thinking.

It is NOT helpfull!

I can totally understand wanting to provide help to new players, but at least let us turn it off.

In the end, beyond a certain point, this is just dumbing down the game and dumbing down the community (why learn it if it is just going to pop up?).

A large part of the appeal of EvE over other MMOs is the challenge it provides, not only in terms of the player interaction possibilities, but just also in terms of the UI and the game mechanics.

The more it get's dumbed down without an option to turn that off (or without it just disappearing after a certain period of time), the more EvE shifts towards a vanilla MMO.

Posting in an EvE is dieing thread.

This is a HUGE pain in the behind when doing data/relic sites. Every container is now viewable by tooltip only.

How hard is it to just give us the option to turn it off. There was nothing wrong with the way it was before.

Does CCP not care?

It is quite clear that the new tooltip is a very well accepted feature.

This new tooltip addition is great for stupid people. In other games stupid people are annoying, but in Eve they are a valuable resource. This new feature will be great for the retention of stupid people, and should be considered a plus.

Just let me turn it off for the love of god!

But you know that according to metrics revealed at Fanfest NPE session by CCP Rise those who stay in Eve are maybe 10% of all who ever tried it. So pissing small percentage of population off is small price to pay when valuable majority is in dire need of such improvements.
