Uh, microtransactions and RMT have nothing in common. Like, I'm all for calling it names and stuff but what you're saying doesn't even make sense.

Indeed. Do not forget how good this is going to be - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yFTUazuGdTw&feature=youtu.be&t=1m58s

Do not forget how cinematic trailer that is.

That warp in cinematic was made with ingame footage. Sure they used some 'dirty dev tricks' to have the fleet warp in in such a precise formation and all, but the way they warped in is exactly how we're going to be dropping into battle.

Just look at the features and ideas section on the forum, theres a ton of stuff coming out:

Pirate factions completely rebalanced
Drone rebalance
Mordus
New models for Moa, Condor, Dominix
RMT store got a pretty big visual update
Sound update/ UI changes

I know I missed some stuff, so there's still a lot to get exited for

What you have listed is HARDLY enough content for one of the 6 month expansions that CCP puts out for EvE. Moving back the major part of the expansion to be one of the first "mini" 1 of 10 updates is total hogwash.

Son, I am disappoint.

WOW! RMT store, lets get all up in arms over that. Hardly expansion content. Sound update and ui? gtfo. OMG new models? Rly? who cares. Drone rebalance? Pirate rebalance?

The ONLY new shiny in eve is Mordus ships and even then, not worthy to throw a party for.

SON, I AM DISAPPOINT.

No wonder Riot is taking in people. They are much disappoint as well.

Loss of indy changes is a big blow for Kronos, but ultimately a better deal for the players in the long run. Or at least, that's the claim... I'm extremely curious what prompted them to re-evaluate.

CCP has already said Kronos is the first expansion in the new tiny format, next one is going to be end July somewhere

Please no. That would be dumb. Alliance colors, yes. Corporation colors no.

Do you take RMT for tinfoil hats? Because I feel we need one with you around.

disagree... I don't see why not corporation, when they're wealthy enough to field ships. the fanfest art panel on customization looked good, and the rendered, in-space result would place customized colors within a relatively narrow range of brightness, rather than become an eyesore of color. also, all ships in space looking identical doesn't make much sense.

The reason I say no is because corporation logos are not really all that "custom". They're just combinations of predefined clipart with custom colors. Besides, outposts may be technically owned by corporations but the fact of the matter is they're almost always alliance and coalition-level assets and should reflect their sovereignty.

Now that CCP is going to ten smaller content updates per year, we can expect features to be pushed back regularly.

Think I'll stick to the ethos of "It's there when it's actually there". Not going to get wound up over what I can't have (yet, or ever, depending) or sit around drooling over anything that isn't part of Tranquility yet. No point.

just another reason why it would be relatively harmless(?), since the range of pictures and colors is controlled

Alliance logos have to be approved by CCP, so they're also controlled.
They also show up on TCUs so it's not like CCP has qualms about having them displayed on in-game items.

sure / agree, though alliance logos are filtered by file format, notsomuch design... and would be more guilty of deviating from overall EVE design (than corp logos).

Artistic direction regarding alliance logos is a weird objection in a game that's supposed to be all about the players, but it's one that I've seen CCP give before (when talking about alliance logos on ships).

If design quality would be a requirement, I guess the question would be who the responsibility should land on between devs or submitting alliance... should designs be handled passively on a pass / fail basis, or should they be commissioned from CCP for a number of PLEX perhaps, and a choice of one to three options.

in the case of the second option, where an approved version is commissioned from CCP, the design / selection process would have to be cut short or limited, otherwise the back-and-forth gets messy (because most of the time people need to be told what they want and so leaving it to them is a mistake).
