This is what EvE is all about. Holding your piece of the pie, in a sense. This applies to everything, not just PvP.

Also, EvE isn't on any private local servers for good reason. Infact, CCP prides themselves that there is only a single (non-chinese) server.

Thanks for reminder. So there are 3 servers already TQ. Serenity and SISI. I forgot about Serenity. Well... At least there is hope then, where there are 3, there is always room for more. Time will tell...

No, there is not room for more.

And SiSi is the test server. For testing things.

Serenity is only it's own server due to Chinese government laws and regulations.

Space Engineers might be a good game for you. Space, Private, Building and Steam Community for showing things off.

Just posted 2 posts above. I have seen that game, not very impressed with it. I don't like how things look there, don't like player created stuff, not interested in showing things off to anyone.

Well there are a number of games to play, but EVE is pretty unique, especially with the some ~15 years of development into it, including some years of conception and development before going live. As for those servers, most of them are development servers. They are probably scaled down a lot, and run for certain departments to check their code builds. Like they have one just for testing the UI. Then a broader private beta test server etc. You can check server status at eve-offline.net

About the only alt spacy games on PC I'm playing is Space Empires V and X3. Oh and a little Naev once in a while. I do miss the days of SWG (pre-NGE) and Earth and Beyond, good internet space ship games no longer around. I don't have a favorable view of anything in development for the future, too much hype, other than for Fallout 4 but not a space game. I'd say just adapt, maybe try rolling and alt and join faction warfare if you haven't yet, even if just mostly mission running or something.

TQ is showing as online -- so there is still at least one good internet spaceship game. EnB was OK too -- although I never got a chance to play it beyond the trial.

As to the OP -- still sounds like EVE isn't the game for you. Rather than try playing something that's pretty obviously the opposite of what you want to play (and hating it), maybe you should find something more to your liking and enjoy it.

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia

Was SWG that game with an interesting economy system? In all searches I put in everyone mentioned eve and some other Star game which I missed. Was closed already. Ty I will check other games you mentioned, but so far from what I have seen Eve seems the best regarding economy system.
I am actually not space games person. I like medieval environment, but Eve world is just so beautiful, same as the ships. Never knew space games can look like that.

Thanks for the answer.
Well, the reason is as all the other games, to choose what you play and with whom you play. I only like economy part of eve, so private server could have been a solution.

You do realise that the economy in EvE is so vibrant because it IS PvP, right?

When you mine you compete against other miners, when you manufacture you compete against other industrialist and when you take your product to market you are engaging in market PvP.

And what it has to do with combat PVP? If you are competing with someone in the market it is not the same as taking the gun and killing that person. Same as in rl btw. But what are we are arguing about here? It starts going in circles, people saying same things over and over that has nothing to do with the original question.

You didnt mention "combat PvP". You simply stated you didnt like "the pvp aspects" of the game.

EvE is all PvP, almost everything you do in game (and some would argue on the forums) is PvP. The sooner you grasp this point the clearer your understanding of the game will be.

If you balk at the idea of any kind of competition then as has been stated above, EvE online, a PvP based game, is simply not the place for you

Lol, yes I did mentioned it, you just didn't read all of that thread, which i can understand. But honestly, I asked originally a very simple question. I didn't know it would go like 6 pages and now people do not read the whole thread and just ask same questions over.
So apologies to all, but I will not answer anymore if it is the same thing. Sorry all, but just too tired. Didn't realise that it could go as long as that :-)

It was excellent up until the NGE expansion which killed it off. Well.... excellent up until CU and then good up until NGE. It was shut down a couple years ago after years of a low population from the disaster. Eh the economy was ok, was nice to set up shops and sell space ships. Space Empires V is a hard-core turn-based 4X game, probably not something you would be interested in.

No idea what TQ is, nor does google like it. If it's an EMU, those communities are usually pretty poor, and don't show up easily on google.

Must have been that one, because people at those forums were mad that it was closed. Space Empires seem something like Civilization in space. More strategy game, not my type of thing

EVE on a private server would be horrible. You would have people that were friends with the GM/Admin getting all sorts of stuff for free. like free SP, or free T2 BPOs. I can only imagine what else would be wrong. horrible bugs that would plague the game... I am glad there is not private servers.

Not a private server and we already have that covered.
