launcher play button staying grey

This issue seems to be happening to me today, i fire up the launcher and it lets me log in, but then the "PLAY" button doesnt highlight. i've reboot my computer and shut down all browser windows but to no avail.Any fix for this?

I had some friends with the same issue and they managed to get this fixed by cleaning the cache and running the repair tool.
