Caldari fuel/ice vs other factions

Will fuel block prices of the factions equilibrate after summer?

1. The majority of highsec POS seem to be Caldari due to CPU allowing an extra lab compared to the other factions.
2. Given that there (so far) won't be a benefit to maximizing the number of slots at a POS the demand for Caldari POS will likely decline.
3. The Caldari fuel price premium means that people will actively switch their towers to those of other factions until prices equilibrate.
4. This will happen faster than usual since the current brake on anchoring will be removed.

Have I missed something? Just curious. I don't have enough liquid ISK to speculate anyway. It seems strange to me that there will be no reason to maximise number of labs.

I guess it boils down to how much of the price differential is due to manipulation and how much due to actual demand.

I think that reactions has more of an impact than highsec towers and many reaction combinations require a Caldari tower.

Guess who holds null space rich in Caldari ices. A low price is not in everyone's best interest.

It would be interesting to see if there are nearly as many reaction towers that purchase their fuel from highsec, compared to the number of highsec caldari large towers, of which there are some pretty wild amounts.

With the change to where not only is having a large caldari tower pointless for lab research and copy, but a tower altogether, let alone a caldari one isn't so useful anymore for highsec purposes, I think we'll see a large decline in the demand for nitrogen isotopes, with a big increase in the demand for the others. To compensate for the reduction in number of towers, and downsizing of them, CCP is increasing the fuel consumption of jump drives (and jump bridges?) by 50%, however given that caldari capitals are far less popular than those that burn oxygen and helium, I think we're going to see other fuels become far more valuable.

That doesn't of course mean that nitrogen isotopes will fall in price, the goons *Snip* Please refrain from personal attacks. ISD Ezwal. will try to continue to strangle the market, they will simply see a lot of that demand dry up, as people shift to minmatar towers which offer not only a cheaper fuel (given the way oxy and helium is going to go up in price with all the rorqs/anshars/thannies/moros/archons/revs out there), but which offers a nice balance between CPU and PG still, with good shielding and defensive systems if desired.

TL:DR Nitrogen isotope prices may not fall, but demand will: Less money for the goons, which is in everyone's best interest.

... be interesting to see what, if any, fuel source those player built jump gates use...
