do we get to make more Gecko's later?

Gecko drone, one-time deal, or do we get to earn them later perhaps via LP or blueprints? Anyone know or have an EDUCATED prediction?

Unless CCP decide to offer them again assume they wont reappear, very few of the birthday presents have reappeared ever again, these are likely either just a really random gift or potential groundwork testing for super heavy drones in the future, i personally don't plan on exploding any of mine anytime soon :)

So its fairly safe to assume the Gecko will most likely not reappear in its current form, we might get other faction ones one day or maybe NPC versions

My guess is CCP is considering an entire line of Guristas drones to fit their new line of ships. It is hard to ignore the fact that the Gecko is a perfect fit for the new Rattlesnake. The Gecko as it exists now may never come back. CCP made it clear that they want Guristas to be the drone Gods, it is only reasonable they should have their own line of drones. My guess is that the Gecko was just a way to test how that would work.

the sad part is, Gecko is an extremely powerful drone.

Omni-damage, speed, tank... fantastic weapon.

You need to get a Rattlesnake, put cargo expanders on it and put a Dragonfly in the cargo hold. Then nestle the Rattlesnake away in a station vault with plenty of enriched uranium for the munchies and let her incubate for a month. If you are lucky you will be presented to a nice litter of Geckos. If you're unlucky you will only find a pile of random salvage. Good luck!
