Nice to see you decided to listen to me, and oh , I dunno, about 10,000 others, and do something wise.
Now, if you REALLY get your act together, you will deploy the 1st iteration on Sisi, and give us not 5 or 6 weeks, but more like 8-10 weeks to sort this out.

You gave us 5-6 weeks for Apochrypha, and that release was a drop in the bucket compared to the far-reaching implications this mess has.

Use your head, give us, and yourselves, the entire summer , to sort out everything, to test every lever, every nuance, where tiny changes will have huge impact. It will also stem the bleeding of subs, and you might actually recognize how much damage this will wreak on the game, and your company.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but nothing that you think should change, will.

Its not gonna take 8-10 weeks for you to figure out you're gonna get plowed by null-sec industrialists

The edge is REALLY hard to see at times but it DOES exist and in this case we were looking at a situation where a new feature created for all of our customers was being virtually curbstomped by five of them

Well, the upside to this is that I have time to push more BPOs to 10/10. I agree that I would rather have a complete, functional, and balanced set of changes to industry. Industry is a system that many in the EVE community can comfortably ignore as long as it is working smoothly. The measure of a successful industry revamp is that anyone not involved with industry can still continue to ignore it in comfort.

Edit: I would assume that the Prospect is still on the list for Kronos?

I am, quite frankly, shocked that we agree for once.

Also it gives me another 6 weeks to skill up before starting to learn how industry really works!

Ah, so you have made your mind up, and you are staying.

yeah all the lovely mails I got, I'd need a heart of stone to resist those

Does it also mean that everything visual, audio and graphical industry related stuff will be moved to 22 July as well ?

Crius? or do you mean Kronos?
The Crius release in July that follows the Kronos release in June.

Its not the waiting its the wording.

The implication in the sentence was that the mineral changes, compression arrays etc are staying put in the Kronos expansion but then it states Crius.

I've probably just confused myself but I wanted to check

Is this where I'm supposed to try and recruit you to work in the mines...with the minions...with the miners to earn your first few freighterholds of trit before I show you how basic industry works? Everyone who is new to industry has to go through this rite of passage and pay tribute to his masters. I could use a few servants apprentices.

Good by me. I was getting worried that you weren't going to release the data and changes on sisi in time to test third party tools. Can you give an estimate for when we can expect this? I would really like to get an updated version of iph up when the patch goes live and sisi testing will be key to that.

Thanks

The plan is to push the changes to SiSi around June 10 with APIs, giving people around 5 weeks to help test and update their tools.

I hoped we would get more things and faster. But apparently you took this frequent release mode so you can slack. I just realized that EVE development will be slower actually.

Disapointed

Without the new release period, this stuff would either push half baked, or push in winter.

*Snip* Please refrain from personal attacks. ISD Ezwal..

Zloco is perhaps indelicately pointing out that more frequent releases may dull the sense of urgency, which may then cause the rate of changes being released to slow. I don't know if this is a valid concern (I'm not enough of an industrial psychologist to offer a reputable opinion). I don't expect CCP to comment on that aspect, partly because they may not know, and mostly because honestly it isn't really our (the player's) business. I do, however, think it is in bounds to raise the issue with the CSM members so that they can remain vigilant to the possibility ("dulling the sense of urgency").

How is it the wording? The industry stuff, all of it and anything related to it like POS changes, reprocessing yields and isotope consumption, are pushed back. All of it. It's all related. Except for those things that are clearly unrelated.

You'll have plenty of time to test on SiSi, but you will never be able to test the most meaningful aspect of what is going to make it or break it for you: what the plethora of other players do in reaction to it. You can test game mechanics all day long, but so much of the indy revamp is related to player choices. You just won't be able to test that on SiSi.
