It would be nice to know what is being looked at and what has already been discarded.

While there will be lots of disapointment over the push back, this is CLEARLY better than releasing a huge set of changes that were not properly tested.

CCP Greyscale will be going into detail regarding what he now has time to address regarding research changes, most likely in his dev blog thread here.

Regarding what feedback we are reviewing, I will see if it makes sense to provide a comprehensive list, but we certainly needed to make sure that the Industry experience was at least on par and better than what is currently in game.

I agree but it is absolutely imperative these industry changes are 100% 'right' before they hit TQ. It's such a massive set of changes that I 100% support CCP in making sure everything purrs like a kitten first.

Good then I guess the research times on capital blueprints can be tweaked to reasonable levels then the current plan. Taking 7 years to research the last level is madness.

While i don't mind the changes being pushed back. it's disappointing that i'm gonna have to wait so long to start raping up my industry again. I intentionally slowed down my cap production for the very reason of these industry changes.

Also PLEASE post a blog about what is and is not going into this patch now. are the mineral balances still being implemented? what about squalor compression and the compression array?

We understand the disappointment, but ultimately we believe this is for the long term health of the game. Material changes, together with compression arrays (and other related changes) will still be included in the Crius release.

Glad to see that there will be time to tweak the things that have been mentioned as needing a bit of work. From memory, I think those are:

1) POS - the new lowsec array and making the arrays have some sort of cost thingie
2) Copying - Figuring out the correct formula and other tweeks needed (e.g. capital component bpc amounts increasing)_
3) Correct application of these changes to t2 bpos

Any others?

Make having multiple arrays have a point, which might be what you meant by the cost thingie. And SiSi testing will surely reveal more minor issues.

sucks that you get everything ready for a big expansion like this only to get a big postpone slaped in your face forcing you to sit and wait another 6 weeks for something. especialy when you planed things with friends.

I can understand this but ultimately would you rather such a huge and important change to the fundamental nature of industry in Eve was put out quickly and 'wrong' or took a few more weeks to make sure it was right first?

i understand that it needs to be right. just think it sucks that i have to wait another 6 weeks for these changes, especialy since i have many things planed with my eve friends, but i will wait if it truly have to be done.

To be fair, collectively the industry changes are some of the most exciting developments for the game that have happened in the time I have been playing. The real niggle is T2 bpo copy speed but other than that, bring it on!

I hoped we would get more things and faster. But apparently you took this frequent release mode so you can slack. I just realized that EVE development will be slower actually.

Disapointed

Without the new release period, this stuff would either push half baked, or push in winter.

I'm eagerly awaiting the changes but am more than comfortable waiting a little longer.

Good decision to hold off to make sure this is as trouble free as possible.

Suggestion would be to put out new Dev Blogs in the forums when the changes get finalized. The current ones are getting pretty full of feedback.

We've waited a decade for an industry interface that isn't horrible. Another 6 weeks won't kill us.

GG to CCP.

Getting it right, is more important then speed when you are talking about something that is so critical to the backbone of the game.

Hopefully this means the API changes for the new industry stuff are going to definitely make the release, it sounded like at FF they might follow afterwards.

Also it gives me another 6 weeks to skill up before starting to learn how industry really works!

Nice to see you decided to listen to me, and oh , I dunno, about 10,000 others, and do something wise.
Now, if you REALLY get your act together, you will deploy the 1st iteration on Sisi, and give us not 5 or 6 weeks, but more like 8-10 weeks to sort this out.

You gave us 5-6 weeks for Apochrypha, and that release was a drop in the bucket compared to the far-reaching implications this mess has.

Use your head, give us, and yourselves, the entire summer , to sort out everything, to test every lever, every nuance, where tiny changes will have huge impact. It will also stem the bleeding of subs, and you might actually recognize how much damage this will wreak on the game, and your company.
