Hello everyone,

I have a friend that tried Eve in the past, i got him a 1 month sub so he could get a better experience but he decided not to purchase more time afterwards. He seemed to enjoy Eve but never took the initiative to call me up to get online, only accepted me when I asked if he wanted to log on. I just got him a new charactor and a 21 day trial and I am hoping he will decide to stay.

Basically I want to know if he actually likes playing Eve or just puts up with me when I ask.
Thanks All!Lol

Get him hooked to adrenaline.

He'll stay.

If he's not taking any initiative or even logging on, he probably doesn't like it. You just may have a stronger personality and he's doing it to keep you happy.

Just continue strong-arming him until he amasses some ISK and then have him give you his stuff before he quits.

Oh I don't know. I like space ships, friends and family like elves, just the way it is.

I'm in it for the money

Eve Uni has recently become not ****. I'd give them a try.

Tbh I don't think that you can make him stay. Its very often the case that a player is either hooked in his first days or he is "meh" about it. In this case he will dabble around a bit and finally quit once there is nobody there to drive him to log in. I would suggest as well that you should save yourself the trouble. Eve is for a very specific audience, I had a couple buddies who tried that as well, though all claimed that it is a very good game, no one of them stayed for long.

You seem to be trying to fit a square peg into a round hole. If after a month of play the bug hasn't bitten him, it probably won't.

That's ok, EVE isn't for everyone.

Let him know that in a couple years EvE he'll have enough skill points to fly the ship he wants.

That'll hook him.

Some get it quickly, for some it is a slow burn, where the interest grows as they discover more. They can become long term lovers of the game

Some Just have a crappy time given them.
They leave.
