Hi all

I'm wanting to try the gallente epic arc, but am unsure of which ship to use as I hear they are tougher than lvl 4's.

I usually use a navy scorp, but also have access to a tengu.

is this arc soloable in these ships? If so can anyone who has done them recommend a fitting?

Thanks

My first thought would be SNI (cuz I love dat boat), then Tengu... But anything big and ballsy enough could survive. Both my choices would do it slowly. Mach I'm sure can clean up.

I'd be really curious to run it in a full T2 fit rail Ferox (really love that boat, too, when full T2 fit with L5 Caldari Cruiser).

Just my $.02... (I haven't run the Gallente Epic yet)

Part of the Gallente Epic arc will take you to lowsec or at least through lowsec.

Make sure you are flying something that you are comfortable working with in those conditions.

There is a high sec option for the Gallente Arc. Just make sure to read the description of your choices when you get multiple options.

tengu or SNI both work. The lowsec path is quicker and pays more isk, not too dangerous either for a tengu. SNI should have no trouble plowing through the stuff on the hisec path. You'll still want an MJD or warpout on "assistance,"don't forget to grab the carry on token, and if you mwd right towards the carry-on hub the enemies despawn. Speeds it up a bit, especially since most npcs don't give a bounty.

Never forget.

Between the two ships you mentioned, SNI. A better bet would be golem or CNR with cruise.

I've done it twice with a dominix with 1 rep, showtime was particularly hard the second time because the encounter spawned up right on the edge of the system, denying me ways to warp to the other side of the encounter to reset the range tank kiting. These days you can fix that issue with an MJD, and an SNI isn't as planted as a sentry domi either.

I did the Gallente epic arc in a Raven back when I could barely fly a battleship, so a Navy Scorpion should be fine. You should make sure your missile-support skills are all at least 3, better 4. Because when I went in without even knowing support skills existed, it was quite a slog.

There were several NPCs who could easily tank my (at the time unbuffed) lv. 3 cruise missiles without support-skills easily and I used up a lot of faction ammo to beat them. The second go around was a lot easier (with all support skills at 4, the cruise skill at 4 and more importantly, it was after the cruise missile buff Big smile).
