The hardest thing I have ever had to do

If you're looking for a more industry accepted group, look up my alliance. We are far from the blood hungry butchers that Rifterlings are, but we get the job done and allow for a wider variety of gameplay.

And if making isk is your issue, we have a robust SRP to help cover roaming losses.

Extra points if you're a limey.

Tonight I said farewell to a group of people whom I not only genuinely care about, but have grown to love. Why after only flying with these people after only 5 months did i harbor depression, sadness, and cry while saying farewell in corp. Well I will tell you.
Although I am less than a year old in this game I have come to learn one thing about EVE. You come to depend on the guy above you and below you in corp chat. You talk to them in mumble (and sometimes facebook) almost on a daily basis. And Finally when all in a fleet, and the proverbial poop hits the fan, you come to rely on the purple bracket to your left and right, front and back. EVE is unlike any other game, And i learned tonight just how powerful the connections you make in game truly are. Saying goodbye was like the final day of high school. You know you would talk to them again, or see them in passing but never would you all just be hanging out on the lawn, or outside station, laughing in comms.

Thank you Rifterlings and Point Blank Alliance for 5 months that I will forever hold dear in my heart, You will all be missed terribly and I am deeply honored and humbled to have flown with you all

Why do you have to do it? Are you being kicked out?

I left corp to do more industrial stuff and make money, im not leaving EVE :) i figured that question would pop up

I don't get it. Even in pure pvp corps they have periods of 'money making mode' And you have alts.. so... if you enjoyed them so much you left why? Was the corp tax rate too high? if it was maybe you should of asked why. If they have a SRP when you don't really need to make a ton of isk to fuel your pvp endeavors. Were they anti industry? This seems illogical, as eve pure pvpers need iskies at times. So.. you left why?

Thread. Much bitter. So jade.

This game, like any MMO really, is so little about the game and much more about the people you are playing with. All I know of Rifterlings is watching KFIN 0.4 FM on twitch. But they seem like cool dudes from that one source. If you really feel like you say as opposed to having private reasons for wanting to leave, you sould consider returning. Contact someone like recently elected CSM Sugar Kyle. She can give you advice on making isk in lowsec while also pirating your weasly black guts out.

Finding a group of people you enjoy playing with in Eve is a gift. Make sure you have good reasons for giving it up.

That's shameful.

We do. I clearly fail as a sysadmin because everyone hates using it. I think I need to put more ponies and hearts in the background.

Thanks for the compliments, Lailyana, and have a great Eve! Keep in touch! I might not run stuff anymore, but I'm sure you're always welcome to return for more pew pew.

(I am the founder and was CEO of Rifterlings until recently when I burned out and struck out, for those unfamiliar. I now mostly just talk crap on the forums and manage the RLING/DAKKA tech stack)

Ed: For the confused people, RLING/DAKKA are all-PvP. Blood hungry butchers, as Kaarous says, but it often happens to be our own blood, especially when we have awoxing events. It's pretty great.

I hope that this is a carefully considered decision on your part, Lail. If this was the result of some sort of internal pressure from other RLING members, I would encourage you to contact me about it.

Considering the current makeup of our corporation and the sheer amount of industry and other crap that has taken place in corp and among alts in the past months, there should be absolutely no reason for you to leave unless you and you alone truly think that it is the best course of action for you to take.

If that is the case, I wish you well; if it is not, I wish you would reconsider.

You're gunna be miss Lail. You're the person I always looked forward to most logging on (and still talk about your amazing local taunting) for a long time. And yeah, what Dom said.... if you need to make money while in corp.. you can still do that without having to leave the corp. There are quite a few people within the corp who still make a lot of their money by industry and missions Big smile

Hey Dom, this wasnt a choice I made lightly, and was something that was carefully considered over the course of atleast a week. In the end I felt as though it was better for me to part ways. There was no inside pressure from any corp member I left with my head held high knowning I made friends and I had a blast doing so. @Petrus I will definatley stay in Contact, and finally Benjamin. You are the one that was the one that flew with me to the brink of being podded, laughed at my stupid local smak talk, and the one that would stay up until the near butt crack of dawn while i talked about a time of my life long past. While I may no longer be a member of Rifterlings, of all the people that I care about in Rlings you are the one I consider to be my best friend. Thank you mate for everything, we will hang out again soon, regardless of corp ticker. back at Dom. I felt that it was best for me to leave not because I was unhappy with the corp, or unhappy with anybody in the alliance, I just felt I had accomplished all I wanted to as a low sec pvper full time. I will still be in low sec to pew, just not as often.

You should probably look into a laxative or enema; it would ease your bowel movements such that your face no longer needs to look so pained all the time.

"The hardest thing I have ever had to"

No offense but if that's the hardest thing you have ever had to do then you have had a charmed life. Since you mentioned high school, I take it you are pretty young still?
