If that is your desired pvp tactic I would recommend you fly the Vengeance or Sacrilege.

As someone said: "The Vengeance and the Sacrilege hit like a small girl, but have the staying power of an ex-wife."

And also it might be worth it dropping one EANM for a Drone Damage Amplifier. Not sure how much EHP you would lose though..

Arround 250-300 EHP ( 7% resists)

I'd say go for it then, 23% bonus dps to your drone damage might just make them change their minds. Also forgot, for escaping you'd do best if you ditched the Acolytes and loaded some ECM drones.

Also I forgot how to math - actually I'm losing 1750 EHP (7% resists)

ECM gives a percentage chance of breaking someones lock.
ECM drones aren't very good, so that is a small-ish percentage, but it might save your behind if you need a quick escape. If someone is warp scrambling you, for example, you can use ECM drones for him to lose lock on you, so he can't scramble for a short time, and then if you're aligned you can get away.
It works poorly against a gang, but against solo it might save you.

Best of luck out there!

An alternative to be safer running lowsec data/relic is sticking to a T1 exploration frigate and dropping off loot in a nearby station (or in a secure container in a safespot) after every site you run.

That way you will be putting 10-15 Mil on the line at any given time instead of the 100+ Mil of the Astero hull + potentially 10s of Mil of loot.

Astero is surely more cool though :)

EDIT: Astero is definitely the way to go if you want to try the dark side sometime: ganking explorers yourself!

The idea is that in an Astero I *might* have a chance of escaping and staying alive longer while in a Heron for example I get dunked before I can close the hacking window.
Also cloak warp best warp.

Aside of that it is known that Nami + Astero = Love (and I'm not talking about wham-bam-thank-you-ma'm love but more on the likes of candles and ear-biting)

I can not look at this title and not think about writing a lovely post about ...

the birds and the bees
and the flowers and the trees
and the moon up above ...

... and a thing called Looooove! :D

Candles and ear-biting should never be discouraged, go for it! Big smile

My (tiny) pirate conscience obliges me to just add that lowsec scoundrels will put a bit more effort into hunting/killing an Astero than a Heron. Pirate

Yes but statistically speaking - it'll be far harder to find an Astero than a Heron.
Yet again, I'm a noob and I know nothing. :D

I agree with this.

For the GTFO factor, use EC-300s instead of the Acolytes.

ECM = chance to break the bad guy's target lock.

No lock = no more doing nasty things to you, such as shooting, warp scrambling or biting your ears too hard.
