I'll agree with the multibox part I guess. Past 2 characters running exploration sites starts to scramble my brains.

Hey I have missioned in a battle venture before :D

But yeah, some misunderstanding of mining versus missions. My mission alt can average 50 to 60 mill an hour blitzing SOE in a T1 Domi, and can make more than that, but with a lot more effort, in his Rattlesnake (this may change with summer patch) whereas the multibox miners in my mains corp claim they average 10 to 15 mill per hour per character.

Sooo . a missioning character makes as much as three multibox miners. However the miners are online for a lot longer.

Where mining wins out is not ISK per character, its the fact that you can mine all night with minimal effort. Mining suits people with family/work/kids/etc as you can mine all night while cooking dinner, bathing the kids and doing the housework. people that mine often describe it as "relaxing", not a term you would apply to PvP.

Welp. Seeing how we run this show, I think it would be fair if we start demanding 'pvp permits' from the slackers.

.

They say most of your brain shuts down on the EvE forums. All but the impatient side, and the sarcastic side. No wonder I'm still awake.

You have to give it to the mining bots, they've done us proud here.

A day and a half to go - science should get both also, the others looking a bit questionable though.

... looks like miners will unlock both before any other category... could be close, but it's looking that way.

Good luck getting that to make any kind of sense.

he thinks this stuff is provided by NPC Lol

however they say that some mystical 'alts of pvp-players' mine and manufacture in spare time.

is it too much for the REAL Eve Online player? Sad Isn't it what ALL THIS GAME ABOUT?

After all if miners (who ACTIVELY not playing the game) can make it why can't REAL PLAYERS? Cool

Because we have to be at the computer actually spending time doing it?

Very obviously I don't. Of course, you see what you want to see...

How many miners do you think would go along with this scheme?

But if you want to go ahead and try your "pvp permit" idea, by all means go ahead. Just don't be surprised when you're met with laughter and soon thereafter find yourself in a pod. You'll soon realize that the vast majority of miners aren't going to care - their only interest is their own wallet.

Sure no problem.

Will you be my agent and come collect payment from me?

You'll normally find me in PFP-GU or GalCal FW lowsec. To make it easy and not so far from highsec, I'll head to Tama.

Win-Win situation.

where do i find asteroids that yield whole ships instead of ore?

because miners don't make ships, miners 'produce' ore.
any sensible ship producer doesn't mine, they do anything but mine since mining is the slowest way to obtain minerals used to build ships.

Updated OP with today's standings:

The event is 7 days long. As of the upcoming downtime, 6! of those days will have passed.

The Math: 100 (Percent) / 7 (days) = 14.29 (percent per day) 14.29 * 6 = 85.74% is needed after 6 days to be "on track" (Not taking increased weekend activity into account)

According to the event page:

  1. Ore: DONE! Good job Miners! \o/ We all get 2 more Gecko's from this section!

  2. Science and Industry: Should make it, they're about square on target. Keep up those indutry jobs! I'd hate to have a dip happen on Monday and cause us to fall short Roll

  3. NPC Bounties: Both Bounties and ISK Destoryed need some serious help Sad
  4. ISK Destroyed: Both Bounties and ISK Destoryed need some serious help Sad

It's really looking like neither Bounties or Isk Destroyed are going to make it, Short of some seriously dedicated player actions.

I think doing this event over mother's day weekend hurt the PVP/NPCers. We all had Wife Aggro....

Mom's day in the US... although if you only get wife aggro on mom's day you have a keeper.

I think there is a lot of isk destroyed that isn't being counted... and it is all being counted at some undervalued rate rather than average market value like it should be. Take the ships, rigs, mods, and implants into account at market value when they are destroyed and you'd end up with a much closer number to the goal I think.
