EVE, you are nothing but one giant grind with a blanket of pretty lights and spreadsheets layed on top.

Grrrr someone.

Simple problem, simple solution.

Literally most of EvE has figured out this solution, have you?

150mil to go from -5 to -2 at current Jita prices. For some forms of ganking this is fine. For those looking to pop 3 pods for the lulz, that is not a reasonable price.

Ah well, not saying it's not balanced or anything, just wish it wasn't so boring.
I'd love a mechanic where I'm engaging some sort of player entity to repair sec status but considering the nature of alts not sure how this would work.

You mean like the players who gathered the tags which you can buy (from them) and then turn in to get the accumulated benefit?

If you do not illegally aggress pods, sec status doesn't really fall much. When roaming, if you pop one belt rat each system you jump into (while waiting on scout reports) you will usually finish with your sec status higher than you started with, except for the scout.

Why would you want to raise your sec again anyway? :)

Just do what I do, join their corp, then kill them. You don't take a sec hit and its a lot easier to catch them when they fleet you.

Yes, if you gank players you can expect Concord not to return your calls. 150mil does not sound unreasonable to go from -5 to -2. Piracy pays but you make sacrifices.

Anyone who knows me knows that I am all about a game having consequences for actions and people taking responsibilty for those actions. So complaining about having to repair sec status when you choose to be a pirate would seem to fit into the catagory of "things jenn would ***** at you about".

But it doesn't. It's far far far too easy to lose sec status in low sec and that's one of the things that is a damper on low sec pvp (and thus low sec activity/population in general) . With the exception of declared wars and FW, low sec is a crap place to live in if you want to pvp.

I can pvp all day and night long in null and WH space without dealing with the same kind of absurdity you end up with in low sec. And then the absurdity doesn't even end up serving it's purpose: creating a game-space (low sec) that is more dangerous than high sec and that still offers some form of protection (via gate and station guns) while being a bit easier to pvp in.

Low sec unsafe exactly like null and WH space while at the same time being WAY more annoying a place to fight in.

CCP should go completely back to the drawing board on low sec IMO.

Yeah, sec status is pretty broken in lowsec.

Translation: "I can't be arsed to grind sec status, I am too tight to buy tags and not clever enough to gank the people killing the rats that drop them... This game sucks..."

EDIT: And before I get any more mails about how I need to stfu; Lighten up, its a joke... Jesus, there are some right tetchy douches in this game hahaha.

Quoted from Doc Fury: "Concerned citizens: Doc seldom plays EVE on the weekends during spring and summer, so you will always be on your own for a couple days a week. Doc spends that time collecting kittens for the on-going sacrifices, engaging in reckless outdoor activities, and speaking in the 3rd person."

At current PLEX prices that's $4.30. Stop being such a cheapskate.
