This week started like any other week. Logging in and checking market orders, catching up on mail and chatting in chat boxes. As my day slowly turned to night I received a nice mail informing me that my corp would be at war in 24hours. As an outstanding person in New Eden I wondered why my scrubby pub corp was going to war.I dont talk in local, keep a low profile and normally just go about my eve business talking on TS and collecting ISK.

Either way this was a break in the brain numbing repetitive actions of collecting ISK. So I set about doing some back ground checks on the members of the mean war dec corp. They all were alts. Yup, alts. I logged off that night excited about actually shooting another player again. Its been about 2 months since I actually did it.

The next day I logged in a couple of hours before the war dec went active. Took Ye Ole Freighter to the local market hub and stocked the corp up with ships to fly. There are only 3 real people in my corp with the rest being alts. So after spending 2 bil on random ships for everyone we were ready. Then the war went active and the members of my corp were all afk or not logged in. No big deal, I will collect intel and strike when I can. Its only a game and ships are just pixels in space. So I sat in their staging system cloaked by the station and watched. They were all logged in, all 4 of them at the time, shooting the other corp and alliance they war decced.

I eventually logged in all my alts that in the corp, all 4 of them. Skill points range from 100mil to the new character I started two weeks ago. I moved them all in to their system, cloaked up and went afk. The next morning before I went to work I logged them all in and cloaked them at safespots. After getting home from work and taking care of personal stuff I opened up the minimized windows and realized that they were on messing with a drake on the station. I watched and waited.

About two minutes later they undocked a Tornado and sat it 100 kms off the station. I watched them do this the evening before. Alpha cruisers and frigs. I launched my Sisters Combat Probes from my Legion Links and got a 100 percent hit. I saved the BM to crop BMs and took the cloak of the Vexor and replaced it with a gun and warped to the BM at 0.

I land on the Tornado at 0 and kill it pretty quick, I guessed it was all damage mods, tracking comps, sensor boosters and tracking enhancers. I was right. It melted pretty quick but I was tackled by an Enyo and a Malediction. I proceeded to kill the Enyo and scared the Malediction off, but the Tornado pilot reshipped in to his Thorax. Needless to say I did the most damage on the KM, but I exploded. It seems the alliance they war decced decided to jump on this chance to inflict some damage.

I gfed in local and they didnt say anything. This made me sad. They war deced me and I dont even get a GF. WTF is up with that. They finally said GF in local and logged off. This was on Wednesday night. They havent logged in since.

Is this normal for Highsec gank/dec corps? I have been living in Nullsec for the past 6 years and this is really weird. Before if someone war decced you they were always on, looking for fights or ganks, mostly ganks.

So I won the ISK war and the Strategic Objective is complete I guess. They are logged off and I am making isk in the mindnumbing fashion that is Eve.

Made a signature so I am taken seriously on the forums, since thats the only thing they are good for.

They are misusing the wardec mechanic, which is for messing with logistics in Empire. They are the short attention span kids who want a turkey shoot every day and they always run from any real fights. Never far from the hubs and permadocked if they are, i have scared them into and out of nullsec. Friends have forced them to join alliances to farm them for tax, then forced them to leave in a horrifying blaze of blueshooting when they become mysteriously inactive.
Their contempt for their exact counterparts: the forever hisec non-combat corp that never gets more than 10 jumps from Jita, is revealing.
Everybody....

99.9% of all war decs are done by cowards not looking for a fight. They want an easy kill, nothing more.

Thats high sec wardecking for ya.

Bet they will drop the wardeck soon now that they know their prey fights back.

When they fail to renew the wardec you should wardec them back.

if it is who I think it is... Yes, this is normal. They just want easy kills and perceived you as an easy target. Yes, wardecs are used for different things now.

I forgot to mention that when I was cloaked and watching them I noticed a member of a corp they are at war with, was acting weird. I contacted a Director in that corp and he explained to me with many words how "he takes corp security very seriously". So I was nice enough to help with getting some API tools to do background checks on his members. Today I logged in and It was pointed out to me that the guy was kicked.

I guess I can add burned spy to the list.

There are alliances who are using a new scam mechanic with the wardec. They will wardec you and then use their alts and their alt corporation to defend you.

Lets say it cost 50 million is to wardec you right? 3 minutes later after the wardec email, the offer will appear in your corp's "at war" box with this corp you've never heard of willing to fight for your honor for 75 million isk.

Do the math;

-50 + 50 + 75 = 25 million isk profit.

Now imagine you are doing this to over 1,000 corps at the same time. Yup. 25 billion isk possibility if everyone said YES GAWD PLEASE SAVE US FROM THE BIG BAD MEN *rolls eyes*

Only an effing moron would fall for that. So you have to watch out for it.

It happened to me and my people in The Neutral Zone (which is a Dust 514 corp btw, which is HI-larious) and what did I do? I went straight to them. To their houses. To their systems. Taunted them in local, talked **** to them....darted past them in an Atron fitted with x3 warp core stabs (to which I was told I was a giant women's lady part, by a gate camper...uhm? lol) so yeah....and they finally got me and I had a blast with it.

See...I got this whole logic, moral, ethical mean ass do the right thing streak in me. I don't drink, smoke, do drugs, lie, steal, cheat or take advantage of people. I wouldn't kill miners because they can't fight back and IF I were a combat pilot, I'd pick fights with anyone I saw and we'd see who won.

I'm not competitive about anything though....so yeah, but back to your WARDEC. I wouldn't worry about it. Have fun with it. This game is so fun because its so easy to get people pissed off to where they want to kill you in real life. That's about the most pathetic and miserable thing I've ever heard in my life lol

But JUST TONIGHT I got ganked by suicide gankers from the CODE lol AFTER having 100 million isk donated on my behalf TO the code by a smooth pimp daddy who one-upped 'ol Michael Epic (I love it) and hopefully, HOPEFULLY, HOPEFULLY I talked enough b.s. to one of their monkeys that I get to be on the blog AND the top supporter list at the same time.

The gankers are all wimps, legit. The wardeccers are wimps too. But have FUN with them lol and it sounds like you had a blast.

p.s. I wonder what would happen if I deployed / anchored 125 secure containers in an asteroid belt in James 315's backyard? Those things have like half a million EHP haha man that would be funny.

Honestly? It would accomplish nothing but man it would be annoying as hell lol

If you read the James 315 minerbumping web site and read his code and how it came about (its a decent read, honestly, that man's got some spunk) and how his bottom lip started trembling with folks wiping out the ice belts and how everyone started anchoring F YOU JAMES 315 containers and blah blah blah....you'll learn a lot of things.

I actually like the gankers. I think they're all wusses and douchenozzles, but I like them nonetheless. They amuse the crap out of me lol and I wouldn't try to beat them at their own game because there are A LOT of them and ONE of me. Obviously not only would I be sorely outnumbered, but outgunned as well (especially because I have ZERO combat skills and I mean ZERO)

But my philosophy about life is fight fire with gasoline. Ideally, in a perfect world they would get just as big a kick out of me as I do out of them. They'd all point their fingers and laugh, but also be honestly annoyed with the random and dumb things I would do (such as 125 secure containers in his back yard)

I'd rather be infamous and considered a fool than to be feared and considered a threat because I'm extremely intelligent (even if I don't seem like it lol) and underestimating someone like me is a huge mistake because I'm unpredictable and that's not something you can skill into in EVE online. That's not something you can write a blog and train your gankers to know how to do and there aren't any implants that can assist you with that.

You just have to be simply made that way and I am. So no...no point at all and wouldn't accomplish anything but seems like it would be funny and make 'ol James lip tremble again lol

What I don't get is why people will discuss and conive and go through all the hassle of coming up with some clever or new way of handling the same crap from wardeccers and gankers in highsec when there is a simple solution. Leave highsec.

Seriously, if people are this paranoid about getting taken advantage of in an environment that actually works against them, why would someone not go to nullsec, lowsec, or w-space where it is just as dangerous for your attackers as it is for the victim? Heck, the payouts in these places are better than highsec and if you die, you don't have to complain about mechanics that don't keep you safe. Just plan better next time and be more watchful.

Gankers live on attention and tears, wardeccers live on easy kills. Come on people, deny them both.

Nice story, thanks for sharing. They were probably high sec carebear pvprs looking for fish in a barrel and not expecting to be shot back. They obviously picked on the wrong target in your case which makes an amusing story.

It would accomplish having them removed by a GM. You can't anchor that much stuff in one grid, because it's construed as deliberately causing lag.

That ruling came about, by the way, because of gatecamp strategies to decloak people with excessive jetcans and such.
