Is there a way of finding out how many skill points an old alt of mine has without resubscribing?
I want to start another toon, but I'm sure my alt already has a load of SP!

Log in to the account via account management, check if there's an API key made for it, if not then make it and import that API into EVemon (or related program). These days API still gives info even if the account is inactive.

Use Time for Plex? Then if you want to keep it, Buy a plex or Resub, otherwise just scrap it.

Pretty much this.. activate the time for PLEX in the account management game time section, you get 4 hours to activate a PLEX. If you don't activate a PLEX though, you won't be able to use the feature in the future.

just get your API, i have use a app on my I phone and it tells me all the info in need and even breaks down what skill points i have and where
