Comprehension:
Hulkageddon is an event with the primary goal of blowing up as many Hulks and other mining ships as possible in a given time period.

Statistics:
There has yet to be a single Hulkageddon event that blew up more then 1% of the total hulks on the grid at the time of the event.
The Majority of Hulk kills took place in low sec or null.
During hulkageddon events the average number of Hulks killed during the time period of the event is only 1-3% more than if there was no event. (Helicity Boson)

Commentary:
I noticed during several of the hulkageddon events the people who were supposed to be dedicated participants were unwilling to travel a few systems to meet their prey. Whats more? The same people who complained about low sec status preventing them from helping in high sec were afraid of or complacent about the idea of traveling deep into null sec to continue the hunt.

Conclusion:
Hulkageddon should no longer be a yearly occurrence, the entirety of it should be done away with as a tradition and in it's place people should participate in Hulkpocolypse. Hulkpocolypse takes place 365 days a year, every year from this point on.

Previous Hulkageddons have always been diffused and relatively uncoordinated. IIRC, Hulkageddon V or whatever is going to improve on that.

And if you intent is to massivly inflate already high mineral prices gank away. Your favorite ganking ships, ammo, missles... etc will get more expensive and us poor defensless miners will laugh our asses off as we roll in the pile of ISK that rolls in. Trit for example is the highest I have seen in a long time avg 3 ISK in many regions.

I try to be nice and mind my business just shooting lasers at rocks. There is just way too many asshats in New Eden for that to happen.

Since I'm a career miner who prides himself in mining, let me give you my 3-ISK worth:

1. Falling minerals prices are what made mining such an under-appreciated profession in the first place. As of today, it's the equivalent of being a Walmart employee (overworked and underpaid).
2. Career gankers help bring the prices up so that mining can finally bring more profit from buyers per hour of mining.

and finally, but my biggest gripe...

3. Judging from your post, you seem to pride yourself in mining for long hours for less and less ISK/hour as the mineral prices fall. No self-respecting miner would allow him/herself to be happy with such meager profits. Therefore, by logic alone, you are either bullshitting yourself into thinking you're a big shot with your flimsy margins or you are a botter. If you are the former, I hope someone ganks you for being a fool. If you are the latter, I have a gank-fitted Talos and its large ammo has your name on it.

Well lets get this straight.

1. I was around over a year ago when Trit prices tanked from 2.70 to 1.70 in just around two months. Everyother mineral followed suite. Loosing profitablity.

2. 4 months ago prices were still ****, now Trit has almost doubled, and my fav high sec mineral Noxium is up from 330 isk to 430 isk per unit. A mass ganking of Hulks will result in only one thing. Prices only going higher. Hell I hope to see Trit double what it is now and Noxium selling at 800 or more. It would be fantastic. Imagine pulling in 6 mil a haul and not an hour in high sec. Heck we could do it without a mass ganking. We mine it we control the prices, but to many miners and corps want a quick buck, and a Consortium of miners is imposible because of it.

3. Any ganker that thinks a Hulkegeddon will gank more than 1% of all Hulks is full of it. Hulk pilots outnumber you by a large margin.

I try to be nice and mind my business just shooting lasers at rocks. There is just way too many asshats in New Eden for that to happen.

Hulkegeddon would be more succesful if ADHD wannabe pirates would only focus on Hulks, and not everything with a mining laser. Seriously you guys gank more indys than you do Hulks.

Helicity puts forth great effort and much fanfare always accompanies it. It is fun, controversial and generates more concentrated tears for the research community-tears which have could have life saving potential!

With CCP's continued nerfing of the ganking lifestyle, I fear for events to come. I find their actions most displeasing and am not certain for the duration of time I will be able to countenance these transgressions against persons with a criminal playstyle everywhere in New Eden.

This event is a ray of hope for us all. -1 OP

Hey Xenuria, your posts are pretty stupid and all, but your portrait flips my switches like it's time to enter the nuclear launch codes.

That's right; looking at your character's face literally feels like two military dudes turning a pair of keys inside me in a synchronized manner.

I wrote some true EVE stories! And no, they're not of the generic "my 0.0 alliance had lots of 0.0 fleets and took a lot of 0.0 space" sort. Check them out here:
