A nerf is when something gets shunned for the next flavour of the month, despite the thing that was nerfed still being better than the alternatives.

The nerf was created to keep children from hurting themselves. Now act your age.

Balance as being good needs rethought. upon the balance of forces, movement ceases. Principle as old as the universe itself. From a visual perspective, a single point cannot be observed unless a second point is called into existence to observe it from. Euclidean geometry demends yet a third to describe a location in a 2nd dimensional plane, yet another to describe a 3rd dimension, another to describe vector, and yet another to measure time and compute a velocity. When we are properly balanced we will be as a single point in a uni-dimensional universe, unobservable, immeasurable and dead in the water forever.

"NERF"... it's where "you" (generic, 3rd party), the player, suddenly discover that any number of game mechanics changes, minor or not, incite you to rage on the forums that CCP is screwing "your" game, preventing you from earning your Null Sec slumlord rental fees, buying a PLEX, or something else that's "NOT FAIR" (TM).

Failure to pay attention to Dev Blogs, finish the tutorials, ADAPT to change in any meaningful way... well, SUX to be "you".
