CPU Max load when when swapping modules using a SMA.

There's a similar post to this directly under me, to which I've replied.

However it's not a graphics issue, so I reposted.


When changing fittings in space at a SMA, the client will max out CPU load and grind to a complete halt.
Sometimes up to a minute.
While watching my CPU monitor spike the PC as a whole will become unreponsive for a period of time.

Happens when any change is made to the fitting screen, be that unfitting a module or fitting a module.

Does not happen at stations, changing the same fittings on the same ship.
(Orca swapping out WCS for Exp Cargos)

Have not tested with ship based SMA, but can if you like.

Confirming this.

Clearing cache helps for awhile, but you'll have to do that alot. It's much faster to clear your cache when you notice the UI freeze, because it can take up to two minutes to get one module off from ship, and another two minutes to fit something back.

Thanks to Ozzian, I tried clearing the cache and can report that it's substantially better.

Fitting in a WH at a POS becomes - enraging. It takes half a minute for a single turret, and sometimes you end up with 12 (!) weapons being displayed.
